Took Pass/No Pass. Professor Fogu is really cool and passionate. Go to office hours! Lectures can be hard to understand bc he uses very complex language, only clarifies if you talk to him one on one. Quizzes every week on the movies (3Qs) and a midterm essay and a final (which is quite hard) shows sequences from any movies and u write about them.

Watch movie for lecture quiz every week 30% 3 multiple choice. Sometimes you need choose more. 2 papers take home.

One paper and one final- I don't know anything about film or Italy- lecture was hard to understand but literally the last week everything fits together- GO TO OFFICE HOURS- a good man- grades easy on paper- gives you the outline to the final- watch the movies and you'll be fine

Fogu is such a nice guy. He genuinely wants his students to do well, and he will be very helpful with questions. Sometimes lectures are unclear, but he does his best to convey the point. There were 2 papers that felt very hard but were graded pretty easily and a final that was very simple. Take this class if you're interested!

Professor Fogu is a good guy. Puts a lot of effort into his lectures, and will go very far into depth about questions asked. The tests were hard, but by no means unreasonable.

his slideshow are not helpful at all. they are super confusing, unorganized, and way too simple for the amount of material he gave us. you really have to stay on top of the readings and teach yourself a lot of the material. he is kinda all over the place and made a lot of mistakes on canvas. he's nice but just makes things confusing
