Detailed reading and critical examination of a limited number of contemporary Chicano/a writers, with a focus on writing about racial environmental justice. A more intense study of their literary works than that provided in introductory courses.

Prerequisites: Chicano Studies 1A or 1B or 1C or upper-division standing.
