Really easy class. A lot of writing and you must include the readings in your essays. The lectures were pointless and she didnt say much in class. Focus on text and youll be fine

Really interesting material especially if you are into law. Guest lecturers were also super fascinating. Graded on a few different components (2 tests, 3 discussion questions, lecture/section attendence, final) and the final was an essay that wasn't graded very harshly. 100% recommend even if you aren't an aspiring lawyer. Slides were super helpful

Professor Moore is an amazing professor and clearly so passionate about the subject. The readings felt tedious at times, but lectures and class discussions were always really interesting. I genuinely loved this class and truthfully feel like I've learned a lot. I can't wait to take another class with Professor Moore!

I loved Professor Moore! You can tell she is very passionate about what she does. I enjoyed this class and will miss it. I learned a lot, and she is very straightforward and clear in her lectures, as well as the assignments. I highly suggest taking her class!

Such a bad lecturer. The only teacher I have seriously disliked at UCSB. Thought it would be interesting but I had to force myself to do anything for this class. I went to almost all the lectures and still did not do good int this class.

The subject matter is interesting and so is the class when you have discussions, debates, or questions, but her lectures can get pretty dull. Section depends on the people in it, but the TA tends to talk a lot. Midterm was easy just two quick essays and you just have to argue a point. Not graded on style. Decent class. Reading is really optional.
