CollegeI took Professor Bouley's History 106R NOT 106B but he's such an amazing professor that everyone should take a class with him. He is one of those people that was born to be a teacher. He is so knowledgeable and makes you WANT to go to lecture. He's very accessible outside of class and gives super detailed and constructive feedback. He's the best.
Closest you can get to Harvard at UCSB.
2 take-home paper and some questions for midterm. 2 take-home paper assignment.
Two papers for midterm And final Two papers assignments. About 5 pages.
Bouley is a gem of a lecturer. Essay prompts are very straightforward, and if you attend OH or lectures, he will tell you exactly what he is looking for. However, I wish he would add options for essay prompts that go beyond just synthesizing the material. Overall, wonderfully interesting course with a deeply passionate professor!
Great professor! You can tell he's really passionate and loves history because his awesome lectures make history way more exciting than other professors. Grading scheme is 2 papers, take home midterm and in class final. Both include a small essay. Very doable if you just pay attention!
