Collegegreat professor, physics is fun, isn't it? :)
Very good teacher. Very friendly, willing to answer questions, and knows quite a bit about physics. You just have to show that you're interested in the subject, and everything is great. Tough class, but she has the greatest accent and the class is fun
He doesn't believe in shoes. He is great at explaining things from the ground up so lectures are very insightful but it's easy to get lost. The homework is wild but the quizzes are easy and the exam is based on the quizzes. It's a lot of work but he's amazing.
Let's address the elephant in the room: Physics 100A is hard AF regardless of professor. Period. Dr. G is a really good professor that tends to be more square on bureaucratic stuff than other professors, and her lectures are rigorous. Tests and HW are very hard, but what else do you expect? Good luck on your first upper div physics here at UCSB!
Though sometimes the explanation are a bit abstract and hard to understand, but he's accessible outside of class, so I can still understand most of the contents. Also, the homework and test have reasonable difficulty, which the class is enjoyable.
Excellent professor! Occasionally went a bit slow in lecture, and the homework was much harder than the quizzes or exams.
