This course is an extension to ME151A and will discuss advanced concepts in engineering thermodynamics, with practical applications in energy generation, transport, conversion, and storage processes. Topics include: free energies, Maxwell relations, refrigeration cycles and technologies, thermodynamics of solar energy, introduction to statistical thermodynamics,and other topics related to renewable energy research. Prerequisite: ME151A or equivalent courses on thermodynamics.

Prerequisites: Consent of instructor.
