She does a great job for the amount of work on her plate. Very nice person. Okay lecturer. Relies a lot on the textbook. Attendance gives you ~5% in extra credit. Gives partial credit for exam questions if you talk to her in office hours.

CHEM3B . Carlini A S 28 Days Ago

class was really easy, lectures were helpful but i mostly learned from the textbook. Quizzes were really easy and all the tests were multiple choice so easy As. Textbook problems arent mandatory but they help a lot, if u can do those u are good.

Carlini is unorganized and not good at explaining problems or answering questions. She's not approachable, constantly went over class time, and her tests were on material we never went over or saw before. Do not recommend.

Professor Carlini is honestly a great mentor and teacher for any chem questions you may have lab/class related. I had a B- going into week 8 went to every office hour until the final and finished with an A in the class. Really helped me prepare and the class is pretty similar to the second half of AP Chemistry. All in all, I would take again!

She explains things well during lectures, but always runs overtime or is late by a few minutes. Hard class causes obviously its chem but she's not a bad professor. She offers extra credit for showing up to the lecture, and the weekly quizzes helped buffer my grade. You really have to do all the book problems to succeed and even then it was hard.

To be honest, I didn't like her at first. However, she has grown on me. She is hard on you and sometimes is extremely frustrating but I lowkey think she's kind of funny... Gives points back on tests and honestly has clear expectations about what will be tested on exams. I would take her again.
