CollegeFun class and a teacher who is genuinely invested in her students. Graded only on attendance, discussions, and a midterm and final, so make sure you study, but both are straightforward.
This class was super interesting and she really cares about her students. Weekly discussions a midterm and a final which are kinda hard just study,
Super caring and really wants you to succeed. A lot of canvas assignments everyday but they're pretty easy, just a bit time consuming. Chapter tests are pretty frequent but they are graded very lightly so all levels of Russian speakers can succeed.
Professor Razor was amazing. She was so nice. I took her silent film class and it was great. I enjoyed her lectures and although some of the screenings are long (and silent) it is a very interesting class and she is so knowledgeable.
Professor Razor is one of the best professors at UCSB. Content was super interesting and the movies were all great. Weekly discussion posts plus a few quizzes a midterm and final. All not difficult if you study. Also a final zine project that's not hard. Great upper div election. I would take her again easily
A very tolerable and informative course. The paper was reasonable and engaging and her final exam was really considerate towards her students' time during finals week. Razor's knowledge of film history is greatly reflected in the quality of the course, and it was a pleasure to attend her lectures. Could have used less back face films though.
