Collegereminds me of that one guy from young sheldon. tests were fair and lectures were interesting. just put in the effort and youll be fine. would take again
Mike was by far the best professor I had during my time at UCSB. He completely changed the trajectory of my college experience and my life as well. He is extremely caring and wants to see his students succeed. All you have to do is put in the hard work. Thank you Mike. You deserve all the accolades. The best Professor at UCSB hands down.
Absolutely stellar guy. Great at simplifying concepts down, and was very encouraging of questions. I found the lecture slides to be poorly organized, but his teaching made up for it. Passionate about improving our overall experience in the class, which is not common. UCSB students are lucky to have this guy in the bio program!
Good enough lecturer, and definitely a super nice guy who wants his students to succeed. Exams were relatively difficult, but not unreasonable.
Mike was a very good lecturer, and overall just a positive person. He taught his part (plant phys) of 1B well, and the exams we had on them were fair and related to what we had covered in class. He was also very accessible outside of class. He responded to emails quickly, which was really helpful whenever I had specific questions.
Smith was a decent lecturer, but tended to fall behind, which made everything a little harder. The exam we had for his section (first 5 weeks) had questions that were pretty unfair compared to what we had been taught. Also, I reached out to him for help with a quiz, but he brushed my request aside, leaving me confused. He's a very nice guy though.
