CollegeThe professor was an incredibly TOUGH GRADER and UNAPPROACHABLE. Despite repeated attempts to provide constructive feedback or ask for clarification, he was cold/blunt, offering no support or help. His EXTREMELY HARD grading style left no room for improvement, he wouldn't make adjustments. DO NOT TAKE ANY CLASS WITH HIM!!!
Lectures are pretty much based on supplementary materials such as videos and documentaries. One MT essay, Two essays for final. Attendance is mandatory but you don't really learn anything. He talks so slowly and uses sophisticated vocab but his ideas get lost in translation.
Pro Zulueta is very approachable and genuinely cares for the success of his students. although the course could be organized better, it's truly the professors who care about their students that makes it worth it to attend class. He's also very reachable outside of class to answer questions and of course, assist you during office hours.
Zulueta is a great professor! I don't understand the hate. He tries really hard to connect with the class and offers many opportunities for participation points. It's not hard to get a good grade if you show up. I didn't do all of the readings but still succeeded. No midterm or final. Graded on 3 writing assignments and a final essay.
As long as you show up and try, you're fine. He is an incredible professor and genuinely has a lot of love for his students. Definitely take!
Zulueta is a nice guy, but this class was very mediocre. The class consists entirely of lectures, and the structure and organization of the class' content don't make sense. There are a lot of readings, but they're not required whatsoever. He encourages participation but rarely asks the class to do anything. 6 assignments total, and an easy final.
