not too hard once you get the hang of it, but definitely hard to actually understand it. bad teaching skills because he doesnt teach! i recommend going to lots of other TA's sections because they explain it well and know what's important. hard--take Crouch instead.
He's a F-F-F****** moron. Don't t-t-take this class if you can avoid it. Worst professor I have had here so far.
He is a f***ing professor, I can't find batter word to describe an egomania
Probably the most boring instructor I've ever had at any level. What makes matters worse is that he st-st-stutters every word he says, and doesn't even know his stuff that well. He pulls a Jeckyll and Hyde on his tests, so beware of that as well.
Very boring!!! His lectures were very confusing...basically no point in coming. Midterms are not what you'd expect...takes a few to get the hang of it. He also studders a lot which is annoying!
UCSB students are, by and large, egocentric and immature--certainly lacking compassion. I found Professor Shapiro was helpful and genuinely interested in the students. If you don't understand something, meet him in office hours you wankers.
This Prof. was very difficult. He CANNOT teach, stutters, i challenge you to follow along with a whole lecture. His tests are hard and involve too much math. His tests never match the practice tests. Avoid if possible
This class was ridiculous. The tests never matched lecture, because lecture itself was useless. He would take forever to explain a problem(stuttering), and then realize that he had made a careless mistake in the very beginning of the problem. AVOID HIM!
he is a ****ing ****! totally unhelpful and rude!
econ 1 was not supposed to be this hard. but shaprio can't stop stu-stu-stuttering nor can he teach so it's hard. read the book and get the asian ta.
studders A LOT. tests are nothing like the lectures, read the book and you'll do ok
He is a pretty bad teacher, he stutters a LOT, can't teach for crap, and takes the entire 50 minutes to go over something you learned in elementary school. The material itself is very easy. Just read the book, go to section, and study old tests.
Shapiro is an @$$. he is **** and is very rude. he does not give good lectures at all. He stuttttters a lot and makes it confusing to know where he is going. I DO NOT recommend taking Shapiro atleast not for econ 1.
Very bad lecturer, I don't understand anything he says. his lectures are very confusing, but he does genuinely want you to learn. just read the book and you'll be fine.
