He is very reasonable with deadlines and moved homework assignments around if a majority of the class felt that they needed more time. His lectures are pretty straightforward and he explains every step. Sections isn't mandatory but definitely very helpful. He is very accessible for office hours and they are worth going to if you need help.
Great teacher who cares. Keep up with your homework. I procrastinated a lot on it and if I'd kept up I might've done better on one of my midterms and gotten an A. I gave him a 3 in difficulty not bc he was hard, but because Calculus is hard in general. But, he makes it doable. PS he gives a rlly helpful study guide on the concepts before the exams!
The class wasn't extremely challenging. Lectures were ok, although I stopped going towards the end of the year. I feel like he was better at explaining things online. This could also be because of the nature of the material. Do the suggested exercises and exam prep and you will be fine. Overall a fair class and the prof means well.
He definitely means well but he is not a good teacher. His class was relatively easy compared to Math3A. It does get harder towards the end when we got to power series and summations but it was alright.
No any curve. Tough grade. Vague Lecture.
He is a good math teacher but he is not good at having large lecture.
If you want to do good pay attention in his lecture, if you do not go then watch the recording if available. Do the homework for practice too, if you understand the lectures and homework you should be good on quizzes and exams. We had 4 quizzes, 2 midterms, and 1 final. All were passable and honestly easy as long as you do not miss lectures.
He is always trying to become a better professor. This course is only going to be hard if you have not taken Math 3A or if you do not set some time aside to go over the lecture on your own. He always tries his best to outline everything and explain in detail, he also awards plenty of partial credit on tests and quizzes. Homework is great practice.
He made the content super confusing in lecture. Hw was hard to understand, and the tests weren't really straightforward either.
He is better than alternatives based on what I know but that doesn't mean he is good. I don't get anything dude why are all these math professors garbage
Maybe a passionate mathematician, but not a good teacher. However, since lower div math classes are quite easy, study by yourself.
A really smart professor. Q&A time and the Office Hour are the most helpful. His explanations are always clear and easy. (Comparing to his lecture LOL....) But I guess that's why he expects you to learn more. Quizes and tests are just... more difficult than other professors'. (Trust me, we Math-major students talk bout this everyday.
He's a nice person and I can tell he cares about his students but his lectures are very confusing and his accent is a little heavy. Homework was irrelevant to the exams but the exams were pretty straightforward. He gave a list of concepts and questions to go over and if you do those solidly, you're pretty set. Doesn't curve exams.
Dont be fooled by the good comments, he wont teach you anything. If you know the material already this class will probably be a lot easier but I spent hours trying to figure out the HW every week and studying the textbook. Its definitely not impossible but theres a ton of calculations and lingo to memorize that he just wont cover in depth at all
I barely attend his lecture, but the quizzes are straightforward. He focused on how to apply the knowledge instead of proving the theorems. As long as you can figure out the homework, practice questions, quizzes, and midterms would not be your problem. The final definitely is hard, but the questions were not irresolvable.
He is just limited by his accent. But his classes, homework and exams are SO MUCH EASIER THAN OTHERS'! Do not be frightened by some comments, he is definitely a good choice!
Very bad at explaining certain things. I had to rely on online sources to help teach me. Quizzes weren't as bad, but the final was the hardest thing I've done. Doesn't curve any of the work even when it was needed. Very little feedback on what to study for on the final exam. Strict on syllabus and doesn't round up. Switching majors now.
I had to teach myself everything and the only reason I got the grade I did was the endless hours of studying. The midterms and quizzes were easy, but I almost broke down crying during the final. Will never curve an exam
I had to learn the entire content on my own on youtube, it is really hard to understand anything he teaches. I think he knows this, the tests and quizzes are graded nicely, but if youre actually trying to learn from this class, dont take it with him. Nice guy but did not enjoy this class at all, my grade is from putting a lot of effort on my own.
If youre going to take this class, be ready to do most of the teaching yourself. Lectures are hard to follow, tests are either an easy A or difficult to pass, no in between. Homework through web work due every lecture day, extremely difficult problems generally. Absolutely hated my life during the whole class but got an okay grade
Well, his quizzes and midterms were easy, but the Final was super hard.
WORST PROFESSOR I've ever had in this college. He never delivers the material clearly and does not care about his students at all. NEVER TAKE HIS CLASS AGAIN.
Explains material in the most backwards way possible. Class might be a bit easier for those who have experience with linear algebra but my only experience with it comes from a few problems with physics in AP Physics C (coming from a 1st year). Expect a lot of late nights watching random youtube videos on the backpage of youtube trying to understand
The best math teacher. His exams are easy and frequent. You can easily achieve 100 in his exams, and if you screw up, though it is probably not gonna happen as it is super simple, the high frequency of exams distribute the weights out and you won't need to worry. But he takes attendance. So just come and do whatever you like.
