Honestly, his lectures were not even bad. He genuinely cares about his students and is very passionate about math. His tests and stuff weren't even hard. If you pay attention in the lecture where he goes over examples then you will be set. I think all the bad reviews are just salty people who didn't get a good grade.
hard to understand with his thick accent. his notes are one of the worst ive seen. I dreaded this class and the way he taught linear algebra. Avoid this man unless you are korean and understand his accent.
He's really sweet and tests and HW are reasonable, lectures and notes are definitely a bit scattered and messy but overall had a good time.
He made his class a lot harder than last quarter. His notes were terrible and his lectures were a pain to sit through. He also doesn't provide an answer key for his study guides in order to "relieve stress" on the students. Overall, the homework and quizzes were pretty easy and the tests were fair for the most part.
He was sweet and tried making himself available, but he always went off on a tangent which made it frustrating to write notes. The grade consisted of many things such as iClicker, Quizzes (in class), and the Exams. Section attendance wasn't mandatory, so I stopped showing up. Had Webwork due before every lecture too.
Fairly easy homework and quizzes. Study practice exams and you will be fine on the midterms and final. Very cool person and extremely nice professor.
Professor Park is a really nice guy. He has office hours constantly and is always accessible and tries to be personal. That being said, as a math lecturer, he was a little scattered. His notes were often hard to read, and jumped from topic to topic. If you studied, his tests were plenty do-able. There were three midterms, but you drop one.
He just didn't allow us to drop the supar harexam which has a median of 9.4/20. Other classes he taught could drop 1 from 3 exmas but the math8 he did not allow to drop the hardest one, which took 30 percengt. So I went from a A- to a B-.
good
He was easily accessible and gave lots of notes and content that is helpful outside of class. Also the class is straightforward as long as you go to the lecture and are able to memorize the formulas. The only downside is that the notes can be difficult to understand and there isn't a clear distinction of formulas that are important vs proofs.
Horrible. His poor English makes the lectures bad. He does not follow the books and syllabus and always adds his own useless things on the exams.
Please take 6A with him it's been not only easy but also a pleasure. I love professor Park :) He's so chill and helpful. Encourages curiosity. This was his first year teaching 6A but his lecture formatting is very clear and lecture notes are uploaded on canvas. HW is helpful and simple, tests have been fair and lowest test and quiz are dropped.
