You can tell he loves teaching. He is passionate about Chemistry and it shows in his lectures. He is very easy to listen to and learn from, I don't think I have ever zoned out (which is easy to do learning via zoom). Overall made my first physical chemistry course doable and a sort of fun learning experience.
Professor Sepunaru is a wonderful teacher. He is an amazing lecturer and cares greatly for all of his students. I've never had a teacher who cared more about his students than this man. Homework is tough and the material is tough, but his tests are very fair. Best teacher I've had.
total sweetheart, made biophysics and electrochem something actually interesting and accessible
Lior is the best Professor I've had at UCSB, as a Biochemistry major. He's civil but tough because he cares and is approachable. Most of all, he's extremely intelligent! If we had more Professors like Lior in the UCSB Chem/Biochem department we'd be Harvard material for sure. He's no nonsense and communicates challenging topics well!
Fair grader. Very fair test. The material can be rough but read through the book and understand the HW and you will do fine. Some lectures can be a bit confusing but overall I think he's a really great professor. Looking forward to take him for 113C
Prof Sepunaru is the best professor I ever met in UCSB, he went over the class materials before every exam, he tried his best to help the student pass this class (gave out hint in the exam). Definitely recommended!!
Professor Lior Sepunaru is amazing! He cares about all of his students (even if you're not doing well) and wants to see them all succeed. He's extremely accommodating and overall an amazing professor. I was nervous to start the 113 series but he does a great job at presenting the material clear and concisely from the start. Great professor!
Lior is amazing. He is one of my favorite professor in UCSB. Very helpful. Care a lot about the students.
Easily the best professor I have ever had. Never seen someone care so much about their students and genuinely want them to learn the material and do well. Extremely accommodating, very bright, and makes students feel respected. P chem has a reputation for being terrible, but the material was presented with clarity and I really enjoyed this class
Professor Lior Sepunaru is the type of professor that really inspires learning. He energizes the subject material and makes you want to do better for him. As far as I was concerned he was never unavailable to speak with and was very thorough in giving responses to questions. Knowledgeable, passionate, available, and he really cares.
Professor Sepunaru is one of my favorite professors at UCSB, hands down. He is a great lecturer, but most importantly, incredibly supportive and caring for his students, both in and outside the classroom. His earnest and well-paced teaching style made me excited to learn. Would definitely recommend and take again!
Professor Sepunaru is an amazing person inside and out of class. He does his best to teach you what you need to know for the exams and is always willing to work with students in need. Just mentioned he is teaching 113C in spring so stay tuned for a second review.
Lior is great. He is really caring and is very accessible outside of class. He understands us students and what we are going through and he is always willing to help us out in any way he can. I am definitely going to take his class the next chance I get.
Professor Sepunaru is honestly one of the best professors/teachers I've ever had. He has immense respect and love for his students, clearly working to make them succeed. He seems to be knowledgeable about virtually everything, and lets his passion shine through his lectures. He's a new professor and I'm hoping UCSB keeps him around for a long time.
