they will say this the first day: write down what's on the powerpoint slide AND write down the examples she gives in class. having the examples will help you grasp the material. she's a good lecturer. the tests are tricky, so don't try to study the night before and expect an A.

I hated this class. It was extremely boring and I watched the clock the entire time. She seemed like a nice person but definitely did not do anything to make the course material interesting and it was a struggle to get myself to come and listen to her lecture.

SO BORING!!!!! makes alot of really bad jokes with awkward silences that follow. Who your t.a. is will make your grade. If you get Aaron Sell with the wolf t shirts as your t.a. Drop the CLASS!! He will tell you many stories about animal mating and is really creepy! He's also a tough grader!

Professor Mulin is a really good teacher. The class material is easy to understand and the papers are actually interesting and fun to do. You do need to study specific things, but overall the class was great. Plus, you get to watch movie clips in class. How cool is that?

she was a pretty entertaining woman, i found the subject to be a little boring and basically elaboration on common knowlege. While i foudn the subject matter boring, especially the frist 1/2, she made this class much more enjoyable then i could have been. Shes a nice and interesting woman

She's really funny and makes the subject more entertaining than I'm sure a lot of other professors could. Her tests are mult. choice but the answers are clear if you study the lecture notes and skim the important parts of the book. It's really not very hard and she's a great prof.

She is a very clear lecturer and all the assignments are spelled out clearly in the course reader. The first day this class sounded ridiculously hard and boring, but it actually turned out doable and interesting, especially if you're a comm major.

Shes not as hilarious as she would like to think herself, but just ignore her jokes bc the material is actually pretty interesting, look at the powerpoints, lectures presented VERY clearly, just go to class, read the book, youll get an A

Mullin is a good professor, she does make some bad puns - and occasionally laughs at inside jokes with herself, but if you go to lecture she gives good examples to explain ideas the book doesn't cover very well. Go to lecture and know how to apply terms, and you'll be fine.

She makes this class, one I HAVE to take, seem actually fun. I think she has a great lecture with clear powerpoints and is funny and interesting. Show up to class and acutally read the book and you could easily get an A.

I think she is a great professor. Not boring to listen to, clear presentation, good personality. I actually look forward to going to this class. I would reccomend her to anyone interested in taking this class.

Dolly is one of the reasons that I have continued working towards a major in comm. Her lectures are great, she is interested in getting to know her students and she is a really sweet woman. Her tests are tough but just go to lecture and you will be fine.

Her lectures....are not standup comedy, contrary to what she believes. Slammed the class with awful jokes at 8 AM. Her personality is overbearing to the poitn of hindering her teaching abilities. Easy subject matter...Easy A even tho I hardly went

Her lectures are very interesting and animated. They will not make you fall asleep. To do well in the class, make sure u go to lecture and take notes. I really like her teaching stylen and the material is very interesting. She is very helpful.

class was farily easy, everything is given to you, just study everything, group sessions made it much clearer because you can see where you are messing up.

Very clear and informative lectures, which are much more important than any reading. Tests are tricky, but you get the hang of them.

She is extremely personable and always willing to help. Her lectures are entertaining and I've enjoyed both classes I've taken with her.

I've had Prof Mullin for two quarters and have her again for Comm 89. I love her teaching style. As long as you take good notes and look over the book you'll do fine. She's a very nice lady.

Not surprisingly, Mullin is an excellent communicator. Everything she discussed in lecture had a point, she didn't go off on pointless tangents or talk about usless crap. She is very clear and precise, and overall an awesome professor.

Must study lecture and readings to do well on tests! Mullin knows what shes doing and it shows.

yea so its the class of pointless information. either way, its easy to understand, study for, and somewhat useful. not as hard as it is hyped up to be- but go to lecture and read the book or your screwed

Easy class, if you have any background in social science. Stuff you kind of knew already put in bold print. She's very very clear, and responds to emails. The class sucked because the material was so mind numbingly stupid, not because of her teaching.
