Her accent might make understanding the lectures a bit difficult but it's bearable. Midterm is way easier than the final and quizzes on homework every week. Pretty easy class if you understand the lectures and homework and go to her office hours.
super hard final! Midterm is much easier than final so try to get a good grade on midtem. if you didnt do well in midterm, consider drop the class!
U will learn a lot
Absolutely terrible Professor. Horrible lectures extremely disorganized and her accent makes it impossible to understand the material. Also is a very mean person.
To be honest, her accent makes me confused and her lecture is very in disorder. Her lecture goes back and forth between slides and blackboards many times . If you attend the class every time and take notes, you defiantly get at least pass grade and have a chance to get A easily. However, I doubt you understand the essence of the class.
very nice teacher. To be honest, she indeed has a little accent, but you can definitely get everything she speaks. And, she is very clear and patient in lectures. Attendance is not mandatory and homework is not even required, although the quiz will be chosen from homework.
Her lecture is very clear and useful . If you attend her lecture and do homework, you would be pass and get a very good grade. Her midterm and final are much easier than her hw.
Near impossible to understand in lecture due to a thick accent. She tries to explain things, but all she really does is do simple examples in lectures and expects us to do the hard examples on the test. Very little preparation for the tests in general, and they were worth way too much of our grade. The curve was nice though.
As if her awful english and her unorganized lectures were not bad enough, she also made tests that were completely different from the practice exams and homeworks, with very poorly written questions that did not make you think, but only tested whether you had an equation on your cheat sheet. Avoid at all costs.
Very clear about her expectations and decent lecturer. Sometimes goes through material too quickly but if you go to office hours, she is very clearly willing to help. Examples in lecture were very useful. Tests were way easier than homework (which were mostly out of the book for 120B). Overall solid choice.
Totally unorganized lecture. Her accent and poor English grammar made her lecture even harder to understand. Homeworks are extremely hard. Exams are much harder than homework. Super strict grader. Practice midterm and final would not help, because they are totally different with actual exams. Even with the curve, there is high probability to fail.
Lectures were extremely unorganized, and her practice problems for the final and midterm did not correlate to the exam. The is class already composed with difficult subjects, but with her, get ready to try and teach yourself the material. Worst class I've taken at UCSB so far, definitely wouldn't recommend
She is one of the best professors in pstat. Her lecture is really clear and helpful. I only attend her lecture and get an A. highly recommend
She is an absolutely great teacher. I enjoy her lectures because her explanation is clear and logic. Her lectures are enough to understand the materials.
She is knowledgeable, willing to explain everything, tests are not that hard, good teacher over all.
Lectures helped, but doing all the homework and understanding each problem is the best way to do well in class. Most of the problems from the midterm and final were either from the homework or from the practice exams.
She flies through lectures. She writes a ton of proofs that are not helpful. She's honestly the worst teacher I've ever had. She makes stats way more tough than need be. Avoid this teacher at all costs.
