Exams are fair and lectures are interesting, brings together lot of concepts from various ECE classes. More focussed on hardware though.

Class is quite informative, very helpful professor

My favorite class so far. I never understood the insides of smartphone before, this class gave some insight into hardware and software of smartphones.

Knowledgeable, explains things well. Prepares you well for homeworks and exams

I like this class, not many courses are there that bring many ECE concepts together. The subject material is too broad for a single quarter, that is probably the reason for some of the criticism. I find the lectures about hardware components of smartphone quite useful.

HW3 is totally not related to HW1 and HW2. It's like we are driving on the another road now. No idea where the course will goes.

Class really picked up in the last few weeks.

His lecture material is awesome. Exams are tough if you dont do homeworks on your own. His office hours are always full, a rarity in UCSB. Honestly one of the best teachers I have ever had.
