i suck at writing and i think he failed me but it was fun

This teacher was awesome and definately my favorite class this quarter. He knows how to make it fun, the last few weeks there wasn't even a class and he lets you write papers on whatever topic you want. Pretty easy grader and overall just a very nice, laid-back guy. Definately take his writing class

My fav teacher that Ive evr had.Before taking this class, i thought that i would dread going through this course, but vallis made it interesting and i actually enjoyed going to his class. if you have the chance to get Vallis as an instructor then deffinetly take advantage.I have no complaints.

he was the best professor i ever had. Makes writing fun and shortens the class because he thinks it is pointless for a 3 hour class when you really need more than that to write. Take him if you can. it will be a good thing

Prof. Vallis really helped me make the adjustment to college. I had failed the Subj A and felt miserable about it. He really helped me figure out how to write at the "college" level. I would definitely take another class from him, and I've recommended him to all my friends-Helpful and Easy-going guy

He was a fantastic teacher, awesome assignments, very chill. We got to watch some pretty cool films in class too. I definitely reccomend.

He is an amazing teacher. Definately the best prof. i have had thus far. He is super helpful. Whenever i had a question or concern he made himself very readily available. He was not only my teacher but my friend. His classes consists of free flowing discussions, it is great.

He was a great teacher! It was a really chill class. If you're carrying a heavy load, take this class to chill out. You only write one paper for the whole quarter about anything in Pop Culture (the class is Film and Society).

Although his class was pretty much a waste of time, it was still an enjoyable waste of time. I wrote a 2 page anecdote, and a 5 page research paper on The Beangrowers, my favorite band. If you get him, enjoy.

great professor and great person, very easy to talk to. We mostly watched movies and listened to his tangents, which usually connected with the subject matter but not always. Probably the most enjoyable class I have taken in the last 2 years, highly rec

all u do is watch videos and barley attend class he rules and u got to love his limp.

Great professor. I had some problems with my computer when the final essay was due, but he overlooked them. Thank you! Also, very interesting and engaging class. Get him if you can if you have to take writ 50! Has some very insightful opinions about movie

He's a total airhead, which can be frustrating.

Very good writing professor. Purposely TEACHES instead of lectures for the class. Instead of in class writings, there are inclass discussions. Loves to talk about current events and bring about insightful comments. GREAT Professor!

really great. we just talked a lot in class about stuff you could actually care about. very easy going and a great guy in general

We watched Michael Moore's "Roger and Me" instead of doing a mid term for that class.

AWESOME AWESOME PROF! Teaches writing, but when he moves to film, all the film-studies kids will be estatic! Wonderful person to motivate you and gives you the respect and grade in which you deserve. Work hard, and you'll do well. GREAT JOB ROY!!! :D
