Tener is a really approachable, young and friendly professor. His homework assignments became increasingly more difficult halfway through the quarter and if you didn't go to class, they were impossible to finish. The material is dry to begin with, but Tener does the best he can to make it interesting. If you have to take math 8, take it with Tener.

Professor Tener is very friendly and helpful. His lectures are great. He is excellent at simplifying difficult concepts and presenting information in an accessible way.

Best math professor I've had at UCSB! He makes sure throughout the lecture that everyone can follow what he's explaining, and he made difficult concepts easy to understand. His tests were also super fair. Taking him again next quarter :)

This man is beautiful inside and out. Hands down, best math professor this school has to offer. Clear lectures. Fair tests. He has practice midterms. Do them and do well in the class. I wish I had this guy for all of my math classes. OH and his beard is majestic when he decides to bless us with it.

By far the best math professor I've had at UCSB. Lectures are so clear and soo helpful. If you attend lecture and do the homework the class isn't too hard. Tests are pretty similar to the homework assignments! Definitely take his class!!
