Professor Tener is a pretty chill guy. I feel like his lectures aren't that helpful because there isn't a balance between theory and practice problems. He tends to focus a bit too much on theory. However, his exams are pretty straight-forward. Just do the homework on GS and do the practice exams. He also allows a note card on exams.
Tener is easily one of the best math teachers and makes 3b easy. Go to lecture, write what he writes, do the hw, and DO THE PRACTICE TESTS! Youll be just fine. No CLAS needed, just pay attention.
Tener really does his best to teach the subject, but this class is impossible without CLAS. He lets you use a notecard on the exams and final. People who didn't take Calc AB in high school struggled more but it's not impossible. He is really chill if you go to his office hours.
Super nice guy and does a good job explaining things during his lectures. Sometimes goes at a fast pace but allows notecards on exams. And as long as you do the homework you should be able to pass the class no problem.
Tener is a good guy but his lectures are pretty confusing and I didnt go t oany. His tests are exactlylike the practice tests and the homework is pretty easy / helpful.
The best professor I have had. Also be ready to write down 47 in all of the example problems.
James Tener did not curve the final exam, despite it taking place 5 weeks past the last lecture date. He provided little to no clarifications when questions were asked during lecture.
The two midterms are pretty much the same as the practice midterms he post online. However, the final i not the same as the practice one. No need for a textbook; just take notes in class and listen to your TA.
Tener is an extremely good math professor. He tries his best to make you understand why things are the way they are instead of shoving equations down your throat. He is a fair professor who genuinely cares about your understanding of the topics. He is approachable and is happy to explain anything you ask in depth. Best math prof I've ever had.
Pretty easy A for a math class. He's a really nice guy, very approachable. He tries his best to make sure everyone is following him in lecture and will pause to ask for questions. 2 midterms, 1 final, weekly quizzes in section. He provides a practice exam (quite similar to the real thing) before you take each exam.
He's a great teacher and gives detailed notes. He's also very clear on what will be tested- both midterms and the final were very similar to the practice midterms he provided. I hated Calculus in high school, but this class made me change my mind. Not to mention, he's adorable.
Not a great teacher, but he's very funny and helpful if you go to office hours. He's more of a conceptual teacher rather than a practical one (a lot of explaining concepts instead of doing practice problems).
