Dr. Kendall is such a sweet teacher. She is very easy to understand and her voice is very calming and easy to listen to. I really recommend her as a professor. I have learned so many things from her this year is ESS2.

Honestly can say that she is by far the best professor i have ever taken a class with at UCSB. This course honestly changed my life and health dramatically for the better! Phenomenal! Thanks Dr. Kendall

Kendall is such a sweetheart; she is truly awesome and this class will definitely be one of the ones that taught me the most. No textbook use is really needed, and it's important to go to lectures for i-clicker(but every lecture is fun anyways). This isn't just a nutrition class- it's a class that will help you literally help you improve your life.

This class is awesome and Kendall is such a sweet/calm person. I go to class regularly, aka I didn't even really have to use the book or study. This is an easy class, but it's also interesting and you learn relevant info. Also, the quick yoga breathing sessions at the beginning of each class/tests literally improved my test performances. Love her

easy class with minimal effort. Expect to go to lecture and spend like one hour a week on homework. Study for like one hour before the midterm or final and you'll probably get an A, if you paid some attention in class. You don't need the book. All the information is pretty basic.

DO NOT BUY THE TEXTBOOK. This class was really easy. Sometimes the lectures were kind of boring, but if you do all the work you'll get a good grade.

I never went to class and I passed (took it pass/no pass). IClicker is big part of your grade so you kind of have to go. She talks very softly and quietly so it was kind of a snoozefest. You don't need the book. Seriously don't buy it.

She is extremely monotone, which doesn't help considering the material itself is very dry. Attendance is mandatory because every lecture consists of iClicker questions that are essential to your overall grade. That being said the assignments, midterm, and final were easy if you studied a night or two before the exam.

If you need a GPA boost or you enjoy homework that gets 100% for little to no effort, then take this class. The lectures are long and boring, and I fell asleep in the vast majority of them. But regardless, I still found the class to be fairly straight forward with no curve balls thrown my way. I wish all classes were like this.

lectures material is interesting but she is very monotone. You don't exactly have to go to class but you definitely should since there are clicker points. Not going to lie I fell asleep all the time but just read the book study quizlet sets online and go through lecture slides and you'll be good.

Not the best teacher when it comes to actually relaying the material. Just reads word for word off her power points and goes through them so quickly that we don't get the chance to jot down some notes. She repeatedly tells us not to stress about the tests but then we start to underestimate her tests. This class doesn't cover any areas; don't take.

omg, please do not take this class if you do not attend class regularly. ended up getting a B because I missed about 4 lectures for various reasons. clicker ends up being a huge portion of your grade, despite me getting A's on both midterms and final! very easy material and there is NO reason to buy the book.

This class is pretty ridiculous for only 3 units. Be prepared to type the entire class period cause she doesn't post any powerpoints online. Her powerpoints are straight out of the book. You won't even have time to type out all the notes cause she goes so fast so just take pictures of the slides. It's not an easy A

She was an awesome professor and role model. Class was super easy but mainly just because it was interesting, would definitely recommend it.

I wish she posted her lectures online bc then you literally would never have to go to lecture. The class is interesting at times, but usually pretty dry. She pretty much just reads verbatim off the slides. There's few assignments and the midterm and final were pretty easy. The book isn't super necessary bc her lecture is straight out of the book.

Dr. Hassemer is super nice and beautiful! She does yoga and breathing activities before class starts to get everyone to relax. She generally cares about her students. She gives A LOT of information, and goes through the slides pretty fast. Get the book and you'll be good.

To pass this class all you have to do is go to lecture for iclicker points and then read the book for the MIdterm and Final. Her class can be really annoying, especially with the food tracker stuff that you have to do but other than that it was pretty simple. She also has quite a lot of Extra Credit so make sure you use it to the maximum.

She's super nice. Class was interesting and I learned a lot I didn't know before. There's a ton of information, but it was really easy to get an A cause there was a lot of busy work assignments that you got points for. It's a good lower div but you have to go to class cause she has iclicker questions!

Gave me extra points just so I could get the A! She is helpful, study normally and you'll pass. She saved my GPA.

Her tests weren't very easy, but she gave many extra credit opportunities to make up for the lack of a curve. However, if you have her and there isn't any extra credit, getting an A in this class won't be very easy. Go to class every day, because iClicker is worth about 18% of your grade. Oh, and get the book of you plan on not taking notes.

too much information to even remember. does a bad job at showing us what is important and what is not. We have to assume all is important so we have to remember everything. Some questions on her test doesn't were not even covered so you gotta listen to how she describes the lecture slides

as a 2 unit class, it carries a ton of information you need to know. A lot of small assignements throughout the quarter. Makes up her syllabus as the quarter goes so nothing is definite.

Had her for Substance Abuse. Overall great professor. She teaches pretty much off the textbook so buying it isn't necessary, just go to class and the review sessions. iClicker, so attendance isn't technically "necessary", but I recommend going because the class is interesting. Gives opportunities for extra credit. Very kind and understanding.
