Seems like a smart guy, but terrible with class policies. Changed class policy last minute and made our final 70% of our grade. Also much harder than what I've heard about previous 101 courses. This class was harder than econometrics and micro theory... Sometimes has vague or badly worded questions. Also told us the final was on ch1-9 it was 6-9

He is honestly a great professor that works with students in order to help them succeed. His lecturers are extremely fluid and easy to understand. His tests are challenging, but hey we're in college not high school anymore.

Worst Econ professor I've ever had. Tests are complex with no relevance to the class level. Teaching should convey passion to students about the subject not drive them to sleep in lecture. Avoid him at all costs, will drop your gpa and will make you hate the subject. He belongs in a research lab not a class room.

Mr. Delgado is very interested in economics and has a PHd in the subject. However, his passion for econ doesn't transfer into teaching skill. His lectures are dry, uninteresting, and straight from the slides. His tests are even worse. They are based off of arbitrary slides on theory that barely relate to the material covered on the test. There's A LOT of guesswork to apply on problems during his exams, another sub-par econ professor at UCSB. When the avg on a MIDTERM is a 38% you would think there is an issue with the test, after Office Hours and hearing him Express his JOY about how difficult his test was, (unrelated to his lectures) you would begin to wonder what the problem is

To sum him up in five words "nice Individual but a terrible teacher". He is monotoned, talks to himself, no interactive teaching. His teaching style is dead! Just awful. Midterms and final were out of this world difficult. He managed to make my favorite subject so foreign to me. Avoid him at all costs.
