I stopped watching lectures by week 3 bc he was just reading off of slides. I learned most of the stuff on my own from the textbook/homework/outside videos. He was accessible through OH & seemed as accommodating as possible given the pandemic/online format but I wouldn't prefer to take him again. Not the absolute worst, but not the best either.

I thought I was going to fail after getting a terrible score on the midterm, but ended up with a B in the class. Just stick with it at you'll survive.

One of the most inspirational and informative classes I have ever taken throughout my 6 years of attending higher education courses. Miguel is a straight shooter, has a lot of knowledge regarding ECON applications in the real world and just a cool person in general. Intermediate ECON is hard but just practice the problems he provides! A+ teacher!!!

There really is no point for his test to be so hard. Lecture, practice problems, and other class materials barely scratch the surface of his exams. If you want to do well, understand the theory behind every topic, and make sure you have all the luck in the world on your side.

Professor Helleseter is really knowledgeable and his classes are well structured and defined. The tests and final are pretty hard (multiple choice though) and do not really mirror what's being taught in class; it's pretty difficult to pick up on what's important and what you'll get tested on. He's tough on individual grades but curves generously.

Grades tests promptly, holds lots of office hours, and cares about his students. Tough tests but they helped me learn a lot. If you're willing to put in the effort, he will help you gain a critical understanding of microeconomic theory. If you want an easy A, he's not the professor for you.

He really doesn't know what student is going through. His test is not just hard, but literally challenging. You can work hard, but you will do NO better than those students who study 0%. Suppose MBMC. But he want student to study hard, MC1000, but his final curve are 2% when Average Score is 40%. MB1 You produce or not? I say No.

Great guy. Not such a great teacher. Would love him as a friend, hated him as a professor.

Unlike most people, i actually liked Delgado. That being said i do not think his talents are best suited for the classroom. His lectures are very dry and boring and when he does make an occasional joke nobody seems to get it or care. Test are extremely hard (harder than 10A) but there is a curve at the end. I would try to take another professor

Delgado's tests are pretty tough. However, he gives a pretty reasonable curve. Got a 74.5% in the class and ended up with a B+. Lectures are pretty useful as they help clarify certain concepts. Make sure to do problem sets and previous midterms and finals to help grasp the material.

Delgado's tests are pretty tough. However, he is willing to curve. Only got 74.5% in his class and was given a B+. Just make sure to do the problem sets and the old midterms and finals that he provides for you. He gives pretty good lectures that help clarify the material. Overall, OK class.

Definitely Avoid Him!!!

A lecturer who will seldom provide you almost no eye contact with students during the whole class, holding a tea cup and flying around. Ridiculous curve method. There will be 3-4 easy questions for free in each test and hard as f* for the rest of it. For the hardest questions you will not find the point from problem sets. Avoid him if you can.

This professor is the worst I've ever had and it's not even close. He doesn't have a clue what he's putting his students through or how he's affecting their futures. Couldn't imagine the class being harder. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

He's the reason why I've been having panic attacks and crying everyday. I'm not joking. He's literally ruining my dreams and how I feel about being an econ major.

The exam is too hard and the grading way is too weird. But the professor is so nice and helpful.

I think his quote in teaching is : if the students are not confused, I must not doing my job correctly. test just harddddd, expect something you've never seen before in the test. the class design is bad, I don't know it is really this professor's fault

Got department approval to put the final on a Saturday, TWO DAYS after the last midterm for the class. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Practice problems do NOT prepare you for tests. TAs were better teachers... averages on midterms were 61%, 33%, and 50%, and he is HAPPY with these results because he thinks difficult tests are wonderful.

Dry lectures, and his tests are ridiculously hard... you'd think that he would be bothered by incredibly low midterm scores! There are usually difficult theoretical questions with very similar answer choices A through F to choose from. Classmate got a higher grade than midterm average by GUESSING on everything, this is how terrible his tests are.

Lectures are hard to pay attention to and confusion. He goes too fast and only uses slides, not the chalk board, even when we're doing math. Tests are confusing and none of his lectures or practice problems prepare you for them, no matter how well you know the material.

On the Practice Final which was last quarter's real final, there was an 18-choices (A-R) multiple choice question. 23% of the total final was based on getting 7 questions from the possible 18 choices right. Oh, did I mention that "for some questions, multiple statements from the list above may be true?" There's no partial credit. Avoid at all costs
