He's super attractive and super adorable. He's very clear and teaches well. If you study a bit and go to class you can totally get an A.

I had Wade for 120A and 120B and he has been one of the best professors I've had at UCSB. He always has office hours and takes extra time out of his routine to make sure every student that needs help, gets it. His homework is fair and correlates well with the lectures, so if you go to lecture make sure to take thorough notes. Fair test grader.

Great professor--it's too bad he is leaving UCSB :(

Nice guy, not too many homework assignments and they were pretty easy. In class midterm was hard (50% average) but take home portion was easy (90% average). Final was an in class portion before the final date and a take home portion again. Lectures almost always end early. Would definitely recommend him.

Class was very straightforward - clear expectations for midterms, along with a formula sheet so you basically knew if you were taking the right steps. Wade is awesome and also great to look at. My TA didn't speak English which was a little rough but section was still pretty easy, just make friends so you can help each other. I recommend the book.

Wade is really clear and his quizzes are very fair. I didn't buy the textbook - just kept up with the Worksheets and Practice Problems, asked questions in section, and emailed him for anything else. Got an A. His lectures are great because he handwrites notes and takes questions. Like everyone else has said, he's VERY handsome. Would recommend!

Professor Herndon is an excellent professor. He explains the material clearly, concisely, and makes stats a subject any student can learn. Going to lectures is mandatory, as he does it all by hand. The book is optional but very helpful for reinforcing concepts. He's very willing to help you out if you talk to him - he wants you to do well!

Textbook wasn't mandatory, but reading through it helped to explain the chapter you learn. Also, it had practice problems in which you could do. I had to work really hard to get a good grade, but it was worth the effort in the end. TA was really helpful and CLAS was a big help as well!

Best professor and class I've taken at UCSB so far. Herndon is thorough and his tests reflect exactly what he teaches in class. Bonus is he's super hot

Really good class, very accessible. Herndon is a cool guy, and will try to involve as many of his students as possible.

WADE HERNDON IS AN AMAZING PROFESSOR. He actually teaches the concepts unlike other math professors and goes over more than enough problems in class. His lecture style is perfect, clear, and easy to follow. No midterm or final, only 5 quizzes which are completely fair. I loved this class even though I'm not a big fan of stats. Also no hw at all.

Wade is a great professor in that he is clear, and concise. He always says what will, and will not be on the quizes. There are no midterms, and no final. Your grade depends on five quizes and your homework so do those and you are golden. If you attend every lecture, do the minimal homework, and practice quizes you will get an A. Very nice guy.

Professor Herndon really opened my eyes when it came to the college world. He was such a great and informational professor that it made me want to keep on pursuing statistics. Not to mention he has very clear lectures that made me always pay attention to him. He is extremely kind, helpful, and generous. Not only that, but he is very attractive!!!!!

Professor Herndon is a fantastic teacher and really great at explaining things. It is helpful to go to office hours, and if you have questions, be sure to ask. He is always willing to explain topics as much as you need to understand. I recommend this professor completely.

I loved Prof. Herndon. As long as you pay attention in lecture and go to CLAS, you shouldn't have to study for this class outside of a classroom setting. Herndon was super clear and tests were exactly as expected! He's also VERY nice to look at :)

HOT professor and also really helpful in office hours and overall loved the structure of his class I felt like I mastered all the material. Going to class is very important and so is understanding your homework and discussion questions. Did I already mention he is hot?

The class isn't too hard. If you study well the day before each quiz, it is probable you will get an A in the class. Professor Herndon knows what he's doing and is good at teaching. He's also VERY nice to look at.

LOVED HIM! Explained things so clearly and did so many examples. Between lecture, section, and CLAS, I never had to study for this class outside of the classroom setting. Super nice to look at too!

He's really helpful if you go to office hours. Definitely show up to every class though because it's really easy to get behind.

He explains concepts pretty well but he teaches problems harder then problems on his quizzes. Know how to do the questions in class, go to CLAS, and taking the quizzes will be easy.

80% of your grade consist of 5 quizzes, no midterm or final which is nice. BUT you can never fall behind so be consistent. His lectures help, but when I used the book I saw better results on my quizzes so although it is not mandatory to have the book, I suggest getting it.
