Downright extraordinary professor. Was not an English major, he was actually a professional engineering who worked in god knows how many industries. 50E less fun than 2E, but Bradley's class is by far the best writing related class I have ever taken bar none.
Extraordinary teacher in every aspect of pedagogy--compassion, knowledge, etc. Overall an amazing person. Worth going out of your way to take his class.
I like the way the course is structured. You got chances to rewrite and really helps your grade. Also really useful stuff with the course.
One of the most charismatic professors at UCSB. Super caring and inspirational. Put effort into your work and he will definitely help you carry out your ideas. Pretty flexible when it comes to due dates and re-grades - he wants you to do your best.

Doug's classes are a must-take for engineers. His papers are very relevant towards running a startup or working in a company. He is very supportive of student ideas when he sees potential, and helps a lot with IP. He is also very approachable outside of class, and a conversation with him might lead you to come up with the next great idea.
Doug is an extremely fun, caring, helpful, and enthusiastic professor. He really cares about helping his students develop relevant life and career skills.

One of the best professors I've had. Different class than any I've ever taken because it wasn't about the grade, it was about the learning. Truly cared that you were taking applicable info away from the course, and the grade was kind of an afterthought. Wanted everyone to succeed. Great professor.
Bradley is an awesome writing professor. 50E was comprised of a quarter-long group project of designing a product. Bradley is incredibly well-versed and is able to help students with projects across the entire spectrum of engineering. Gives great feedback on individual assignments and teaches very well.
Best Professor I have ever had. Cares about your learning and experience in the class. Lets you rewrite sub-par papers until you get an A. Very understanding and wants you to get an A in his class. Very fair grading based on effort and attitude. Great guy to talk to about anything. TAKE THIS PROFESSOR OVER ANY OTHER. Goat
Doug is an amazing professor. Chill and funny. A lot of papers but you have the option to turn them in before the end of the quarter. But I highly recommend you don't do this because he lets you turn those papers in again till you get a better grade. Class is kind of pointless but you need to go to for participation. Great for health related majors
Great professor! I didn't think I was going to like this class at first, but it ended up being my favorite class i took that quarter. The topic is very different and interesting and pretty much lets you pick your topic for your research paper. Grade is based on a 15 page research paper and powerpoint presentation. A lot of work but worth it!
Really cool guy--he obviously cares a lot about teaching. He lets you rewrite everything until you get an A and is always available to help. One of the most valuable classes I have taken so far
Doug is a great teacher, one of the best I've had at UCSB. He has interesting lectures and makes you think outside the box. I hate writing but I actually didn't mind doing the research paper for his class because I got to write about something I was interested in. If you have to take a certain Writing class, take it with him!
Incredibly nice and helpful professor. Genuinely wants to help students. All lectures were interesting and useful.
Doug is a fantastic professor and VERY understanding of personal circumstances. He understands that sometimes his class isn't always your number one priority, so often if you talk to him he'll give you flexible due dates. He always makes lectures interesting and I feel like my opinion matters in class discussions.

Great teacher, very clear and fair with assignments and grading. He's very helpful if you go to his office hours and he definitely wants all of his students to succeeded. You will get an A if you do the assignments and paper, it's not a lot of work at all. I recommend taking any class that he teaches.
He is by far the coolest teacher I've had so far. He always let us out early and we even went to the beach once. The classes are very interesting and he's very helpful and friendly. I got an A in his class very easily!
Very enthusiastic about the curriculum. Approachable and very helpful when it comes to assisting you in the final research paper. Overall a smart guy who loves his job and it shows.

great teacher! he tries to make the class as interesting as possible and he succeeds at it. i dislike writing very much and wasn't too successful in high school but this was hands down my favorite class and i got an A! he is also super helpful and he favors giving you a good grade. definitely recommend him!
Very helpful, one of the best professors out there. Totally approachable and an awesome course. The final presentation was interesting. The in-class lectures were helpful if you want exposure to the medical field. The reading was boring as hell...didn't do it. But, great professor!
