One of the best teachers I've ever had. If you put in effort and thought, you won't have to worry about your grade. The class took a well-needed look at consumer culture, and I think it had a noticeable impact on my day to day life. This class taught more than writing. If you have a chance, take this class, it will change your life.

Very helpful and fun to talk to. He likes to see his students succeed. Class is very enjoyable because Nick is hilarious.

AWESOME CLASS, AWESOME PROFESSOR. Consumer society is what Nick bases the entire class around. Workload is definitly manageable, and Nick is very flexible with deadlines provided you talk to him and explain your situation. Highly reccomend taking any class you can with him. More importantly, he is hilarious so going to class is not a chore.

Nick was one of the best profs i had over 4 years at UCSB. He is really funny and always speaks the truth. Writing 109SS is a great class-the subject is consumer society. He gives you plenty of time and freedom in writing your papers. TAKE this class!

tingle is amazing! he is really helpful, understanding, and is available for all his students whenever needed. best teacher ever!! class is interesting ans you get to choose your own topic for your paper and learn about other classmates and their topics. highly recommend!!!!!

Awesome teacher, and very understanding. People call him a pushover for dates, but it's mostly that he cares about his student's work load. Interesting class, would take more with him.

this prof is amazing! i almost cant believe that he is a real professor sometimes. makes writing class a lot more fun than it should be. good assignments and you dont have to pretend to be a proper student because he swears more than anyone i have ever met. its a wonderful, interesting, fun class.

This class is so easy. I went to his office hours for help on my 12 pg essay. He printed another student's paper and gave it to me. No book or reader for this class when i took it. got a b+ in his class.

Great Teacher, answers any question regarding assignments, accepts late work without penalizing, and made corrections to my paper making it read better. The class is not easy a 12 page paper is due, but you have several weeks to work on it. He's a fun professor and makes attending class enjoyable.

Super chill... Accepts late work and is a fairly easy grader. Atending class is more amusing than painstaking... I highly recommend Tingle if you are going to take 109. Hes awesome.

Going to this class isn't like going to normal lecture. He goes off topic most of the time and is quite frank with the students. He's pretty funny, and super lenient on due dates. YOu can really get away with anything in this class.

soooo fun! this class became my breaktime - a place to laugh and relax. watching him was almost better than tv! not a hard grader at all, but didnt really learn much :)

Great teacher! He was funny,leient&interesting. He accepted opposing viewpoints. He let me turn in a paper 2 weeks late and I still got a B+ in the course. He is understanding and open-minded teacher. When I took it he didn't count attendance.

He is an awesome teacher.Talked more about sex and drugs then grammar, but still learnt a lot about writing. Very interesting guy, easygoing, funny and not a hard grader. I recommend taking him if you can, be careful though, his classes fill up fast!
