without a doubt the best math professor i've had at UCSB. lectures are structured with examples for each case. explains everything very clearly and is more than willing to clarify any misunderstandings. very helpful in office hours too. the homework is well thought out and frequent enough to keep you in practice. take a class with him if you can!
What a great teacher. He explains what you need to know and is willing to go further into the material if you want to. Answers all questions very clearly and he's sometimes funny. Highly recommend.
really funny guy who tries to make sure his students understand, sometimes he gets lost in his own work, if you can do the homework w.out a calculator (which youre supposed to do anyways) you should be fine for the test
Maybe it's just me but i found him to be kind of confusing at times.. luckily i took calc in high school so i pretty much used my own notes to be able to do hw and study for the exams. He's really funny though and his tests weren't too bad.
good at teaching the material he knows what he's doing. can be pretty funny too. do all the homework without a calculator, if you use a calculator on the homework you're screwed on the tests unless you study hard.
