Wonderful teacher, definitely my favorite so far here at UCSB. He is very knowledgeable and is very approachable if you need help. If you go to lecture most of the time and do the labs the tests are easy

Great Professor! Very approachable. His office hours are extremely helpful, he even has visual presentations to help out. Tests are straightforward, just know the labs and read up on the book, cheat sheet allowed. No need to know C before but It'll be cake if you do. Textbook use is up to you, great reference to class, Buy online, not bookstore.

AWESOME teacher. he is definitely there to teach students and is incredibly helpful in class and office hours. tests are based on homework, lectures, and labs so make sure you understand all of that. definitely use the book for help, it is a great resources.

Phill is an awesome professor because he's absolutely enthusiastic about what he teaches, and really devoted to his students. He is very available during his office hours, willing and enthusiastic about making appointments, and will devote all of his attention to you while he is talking with you. Cool dude, awesome professor, great quarter.

Excellent professor! Makes everything in the class interesting and most importantly, relevant. Only wish that he'd teach some upper division classes as well so I could take more classes with him
