Has a good heart but is completely tech illiterate and takes three minutes to formulate a sentence with filler words. His points are often repetitive. Not bad considering its asynchronous but if he could upload lectures through gauchocast it'd be much more tolerable. 3 midterms, lecture heavy and easy--imo taking notes from him is the hardest part

3 midterms are the only grades in this class. His lectures are poorly done ramblings and his assigned readings wildly vary. Will eat away your sanity.

This professor talks so slowly that it is incredibly difficult to stay engaged in his lectures. The lecture content is actually very interesting, his delivery is just so slow and repetitive that it is painful to listen to. His speech is riddled with 1-2 second pauses every 5 or so words. I wish his videos could be sped up.

he's a great teacher and I don't understand all of the negative feedback. He's very passionate and encouraging and his lectures are actually really interesting. Yes, he does have an accent and he does tell a lot of stories, but it's not hard to understand him or the material at all. Just pay attention and go to class and you'll be fine!

I don't know why people criticize him so much. Manny is a very well-spoken, intelligent, kind individual whose lectures are quite interesting and clear. He actually inspired me to switch into the Anthropology major. Yes, his tests are a little difficult, but this is college, what did you expect? Study, ask questions, and you'll be just fine.

wow oh wow was his lectures dry, but this is not the important part. the important part is his exams were ridiculously difficult. I feel as though no matter how well I knew this material I still couldn't have received an A in his class. monotone lectures and flyyyy's through slides.Good Luck taking his class...

I love his accent! An interesting and nice man.

I've had him for a couple of my anth classes and he is awesome! The readers he assigns contain very interesting articles. All of his tests are multiple choice, but don't think you can coast by. You'll still have to study to get a better than average grade. He's also a very funny guy and easy to relate to!

I was excited to take this class because I thought world population was an interesting topic but this professor made it very dull. His thick accent was always a struggle to understand (although he would also offer to repeat himself if necesssary). There is a lot of boring assigned reading the you would need to do to get an A.

So boring to listen to, it was hard for me to even go to class. Very repetitive, and the tests are all multiple choice but even if you study hard and understand the material they will still be difficult. It is as if he wants people to get confused while taking the tests, his wording is incorrect and the answer can be argued to fit 2 or more answers

I wish I had heard more about this teacher before I took his Anthropology of Food class. Should be interesting subject matter in and of itself, but delivered through the dull and dry lips of this professor, well. Let's just say that you could learn much more by reading up on the topic on your own. Lectures: mindless, monotonous repetition.

So boring! I was excited about this class before I took it, but Kundu makes an interesting subject completely boring! His tests are tricky and you have to pay attention to detail. He is hard to understand and id very repetitive, so glad this class is over!

Manny is quite funny when he tells stories about himself. Go to class and take notes. The tests are multiple choice and are based off of his reader & lecture notes. Study the main points of each and you'll be fine. He also gives you a study guide. Don't be fooled by the class, you need to study the notes and the test will be sure breeze

His lecture style is awfully boring. He likes to read a point off the ppt, then reread it in a full sentence, then explain it. Tests are multiple choice, tricky questions. You definitely have to go to class to do well, and have to do the reading

Manny is a great person, but not a great professor. It was hard enough to understand him because of his accent, but also because he was so scattered. He has a lot of funny stories, but most of the time they don't relate to the course material. He repeats things over and over and over and over....

his gradings system sucks...its based on two mult. choice tests: midterm and final....the questions are tricky as well. His lectures are hard to follow. Overall, I will NEVER take a class by Kundu again...he grades unfairly and is a bad lecturer...most students got Cs

Manny is a great prof., really nice and knowledgable. He has an indian accent, but not hard to understand. You have to go to lecture and take detailed notes or else you'll do bad. He gives good study guides before the exams, but you still have to read a lot of notes and reader articles. I still recommend him.

Took this class during summer. I Enjoyed the class and is now one of my favorites. I Enjoyed the reading. It was justs 3 multiple choice exams. They were pretty fair. Just make sure you go to class and take notes. I missed one class and it definately affected me on the exam.

He's a nice guy, but... The book he assigns is quite insipid (basically 400 pages of clutter that could be reduced to less than 200), and his lectures tend to be rather dry. The final exam is not easy even if you study because he focuses on ridiculously minute details.

NOT an easy A. Lots of material to study with very detailed multiple choice tests. Manny is a fun type of guy but the level of detail he requires is ridiculous. You will need to attend all lectures and read the book. I would not recommend this class to anyone looking for a GPA booster.

took this class during summer. he gives you a study guide a couple days before the midterms, so you know what to expect. the "textbook" wasn't really a textbook, and was really interesting to read. lectures are pretty dry and he's kind of difficult to understand in lecture, but very helpful.

Manny was a good teacher. Attendence is 20% of your final grade so make sure you don't have an 8am class. Kind of hard to understand and lectures can be rather boring (the class was history of anth theory so it may just be the dry subject). Tests are easy if you study and Manny is always willing to help you improve.

Human Universals is a fantastic class and I recoment it to everyone! This is the only lecture I have ever not skipped. Manny is a guest prof from India who teaches here every summer. He's a really nice, funny guy. Don't worry about the accent. Fortunately, he knows he has it and makes sure that he is understood before moving on.
