This is the first ECON class I have taken that I haven't gotten an A. And this was supposed to be the "easiest." There is no curve, because slackers just create elaborate cheat sheets to do well on the tests. Her class is setup in way that students don't learn anything. Although, she means well, this is an embarrassment to the university.

GREAT econ professor. SO clear, SO easy to understand. TOTALLY reassured my happiness in Accounting. i <3 Maase!!

Great professor. Her lectures are very clear and organized. Her test are very straight-forward unlike some other accounting professors who try to trick you. Plus you're allowed to have one page of notes on the exams. She is very friendly too. If you have the chance to take a class with her, do it!

Fantastic professor. I thought Anderson was the best, but that's before taking her. She is great b/c she tells you what is on the exams- no bs-ing! Take her if you can.

Very nice and helpful prof. However, her classes were one the most boring classes I ever had. Easy final and midterm, with a cheat sheet, it's a joke.

best class ever. she gives you a note card (full page) cheat sheet for the midterm and final. everything is clearly spelled out, she loves the material and she is awesom!

A lot of information but you get a one page cheat sheet for the midterm and final. She tells you what you need to know and chimes-in some funny stories once in a while too. She makes the exhilirating subject of accouting as easy at it can be while keeping you awake... not an easy task.

Very straight forward class. Midterms were really easy. Final much harder but do-able. Going to class is important.

Maass is the accounting Prof to take! She makes difficult concepts easy to understand- lecture very helpful. Make sure to study the old exams and you'll get at least a B in the class.

Lisa is undoubtedly the best accounting instructor at UCSB, even better than all the econ professors I've had in 4 years. she is extremely straightforward, kind, helpful, and clear. go to lecture, study old exams & you're guaranteed at least a B. she is so structured that it can be boring at times (my only criticism), but she's always there 4 you

I did her honors section. she is very nice and helpful. If you don't go to class, you will spend hours trying to review and understand what you could have gotten in an hour of lecture. REALLY must go to her classes. if you do, you don't even need to study; just review and make a note sheet. Group project is important, so start early

Class was very straightforward, and relatively easy. Maass lectures are informative and helpful for the tests, i would not suggest cutting her class. She also gives u whole 8.5 x 11 paper as a cheat sheet for tests which is nice. i would recommend her

She is knowledgeable and gives good practice midterms, however she does not give enough time for her tests. You have to compute your answer and keep going. There is no time for questioning you simply must put the answer or a guess and move on.

The best teacher I have ever had ever since I came to UCSB!! She makes 'accounting' so interesting and you would just love the class and can't stop studying!:)

i've had maass for 4 out of 9 accounting classes. she's my favorite professor in the accounting department

This class is easy compare to other econ classes. it's easier over the summer. i just took her and got an A-. she is very straightforward in lecture and all of her practice exam are similar to the actual midterm/final. she is fair and does not trick us like sanders did on the exams.
