I LOVED this class. He is a gifted teacher and writer. Very kind, thoughtful, committed, and really knows his stuff. I wish he taught more and that more profs. were like him.

Very insightful! He is also very understanding. Helps as much as he can. Read the books he tells you too and pay attention in class. No section means classes are that much more important!

He is a great teacher and is very passionate so he is fun to listen to and learn from.

Macker is the sweetest man I have ever met. He is nice, warm, funny, and a hottie. I wish he had met me in college so we could have married. But seriuosly, he got me thinking not only about myself but of my surroundings. his classes are fun and you trully feel like a better person by the end. He makes eating an apple so sexy. He's HOT!

So Hot!! I took his class the summer after he got married and all I could do during class is curse his wife. j/k. Smart guy, but sometimes the clarity is lacking.

I had him for an expository writing class at UCI as a TA [TAs taught the class]and he was amazing. i switched majors because of him.

I had zero interest in writing when i started this class. I loved the assignments and the prep or them. ny class where the big lebowski is relevant to the curriculum is okay with me! plus he was really interesed in everyone's point of view. that doesn't happen very often. If you have to take writing one do it with macker.

If you're a ditsy chick, I guess he's cool. For those who are serious about learning, he's a complete pain in the ass. He is difficult to approach (eg: he grades emails). His expectations are unclear, his class is all story telling, little learning. VERY FRUSTRATING TEACHER.

This guy is a total knockout I din't jknow they still made this model. If he was a sportscar he would be way too expensive but I'd go along for the ride! Seriously, on top of personal qualities (super-hot) he's a serious dude with lots of literary stuff coming down. He's helpful and oh so smart, beliee me he will change your life. Totally.

So Hott and funny! I wanted to do him (too bad he is married). Not the most helpful class, but fun and pretty easy. Not a lot of work at all and always a pleasure to go to class. =)

Teddy is hilarious; he is also not hard if you complete the assignments. I wrote and revised essays in that class and he encouraged us to "read as writers." he is hella cool i definately reccoment him

First off, you'd think he's the most ridiculous person, but he's a very cool guy. Passionate in writing and very funny. You still have to work for your grade though. However, he does a good job explaining the material and prompt. He improved my writing skills. recommended.

Class discussion was fairly entertaining. Assignments are not very clear often left class confused on what he wanted exactly. Seems to go on about things that do no pertain to the subject at hand.

GREAT teacher. I loved going to class every day because of him, really knows how to communicate with his students and make class fun. Not an extremely easy class, but extremely worth it, one of the best classes I've taken here.

He was the best teacher i ever had! Teaches you the philosophical side of things, and gives you a different perspective on this around you and in life! He is funny and amusing, and easy going! He is a blast and funny. He wants you to talk, and you even get to watch movies!

EXCELLENT teacher! Made class fun and entertaining without taking away from education. Can get sidetracked easily, but only adds to the enjoyment of the class. Assignments aren't too hard and are graded fairly. Best writing teacher I've ever had, really fun class.

Excellent teacher! Very enthusiastic, very fun-loving. Makes the material interesting. Vibrant, and outgoing. Slightly eccentric, but it's for the better. Very smart, very analytical. I hate writing and usually don't do well. I got a B and it was easier and more fun than I expected. Highly recommended.

he is a great teacher. he hates cell phones, ipods, and anything that distracts people from enjoying the beauty of nature. take him even if you dont like writing, paper topics are interesting and you can allways just take your paper to CLAS to have it proof read. tells funny stories, take him if you dont want to bore yourself with lectures on how to write

He's the greatest teacher. Very philosophical. He's an old soul. We should have more teachers like him.

His class was a breeze. Recomended for those who want to write for a living, and not for those who want a high school refresher.
