She is the most marvelous teacher. She is like my mother or grandmother. She worries if you are absent and really wants to get to know you. She is really helpful and gets the work done. She is very understanding and marvelous. She makes spanish fun and makes it clear as far as what you need. She is extremely approachable and overall a great person.

She is Awesome! She is so helpful and so approachable. There are no tricks to this class at all-- she tells you what you need to know. She has made me stick with being a Spanish major. She truly cares about the students and I actually look forward to going to class.

such a sweet woman! she's what i would want my grandmother to be like if i were hispanic. the class wasn't too hard, a couple of essays and tests, but she's a fair grader. you can tell she loves teaching; she still approaches me to ask how i'm doing and always calls me preciosa.

I made 100% sure to get this professor for every class in Spanish that I could! She is so funny and is NEVER harsh to her students. The classes are upper division, so they can be tedious, but she explains everything you need to know very well for exams and papers. Very highly recommended!

Best teacher I've had at UCSB. She truly does care about her students (unlike others)! always goes out of her way to help and is very understanding! Always has a smile on her face and explains everything well! I love her! I highly recommend taking a class with her if possible.

an awesome teacher! she comes to class everyuday with a smile and is just cracking jokes the entire time. She is also very easy, don't turn in any homework and just a couple easy tests and essays.
