Posts lectures online. 2/10 iClicker points are graded everyday. Section experiment really useful. Practice Exams online are helpful. READ! (Can buy previous reader, all the same content).

I couldn't have asked for a better professor. He's such a great guy who genuinely cares about his students. The curve is tough, but that's true for whatever professor you have. Take the practice quizzes!

This class was really hard bc of curve. If you work very hard, you are pretty much guaranteed a C but to move forward with the major you need a B. 3 quizzes (10 pts.) and hard final... DO well on HW! Rod the Bod is a great lecturer, funny and easy to listen to for 50 minutes. I really enjoyed his class and would take him again for sure! REAL OG!

I took Garratt for Econ 1. The grading scale is tough, but only because it is department policy, not Professor Garratt's. He takes complex ideas and presents them in a very clear and easy way to understand. His exams are difficult, but very fair. Garratt's lectures are very interesting and I thoroughly enjoyed his class.

Rod is amazing, hands down my favorite professor. He makes lecture very interesting with real world problems. Rod is great at simplifying difficult concepts and making it easy to grasp. Rod is the G.O.A.T

Very fair class. His lectures were always clear and provided lots of helpful real-word examples, as well as good practice problems. There were never any curveballs in the quizzes or finals, and I really got the sense that he wanted his students to succeed. All around likable guy that made the class way easier than in past quarters.

Lectures are well organized and material is presented clearly. There is a tough curve in the course, but that is true regardless of who teaches the class. Material is well motivated by real world examples.

Rod is very experienced and lively and brings these qualities to lecture to make it interesting. He engages students and provides real life examples and supplements to help with learning. Tests are very straightforward if you go to lecture or do the reading. Not the usual abuse of trick questions and difficulty; he focuses on concepts

He really enjoys lecturing and is enthusiastic about it, which is why he never lets us out early! Very straight forward. He's a little impatient with people who are a little slow with the material. Definitely one of the better econ professors.

Very helpful and understanding. This class really takes someone who is self-motivated though. Recommended.

One of the best econ professors I've had. His lectures are easy to follow and he doesn't rely heavily on calculus like other econ prefessors. He tries to incorporate real world examples into lectures. I actually felt like I learned something in his class. Definitely take him for 100B.

First solid econ teacher I have had... very clear and easy to follow. If you understand basic calc/algebra do each practice quiz question once and you'll get an easy A.

Rod Garratt is as good at teaching econ as he is at maintaining a rock hard body! If you're not down with RG, somethings wrong with you

Great Professor and very easy. His tests are exactly like the practice tests that you are given. They are all multiple choice and the questions aren't aimed to trick you in any way. Everythign tha tyou see in class and on the previous tests is what WILL be on your test! Highly recommend getting into his class for 100b

He was fun in some lectures, involving the whole class, do the workbook problems and attend lectures. He gives you hints on which problems he will give you (but goes over them in class)

One of the better econ profs. Lectures are relatively easy to follow and he's a pretty nice guy, too. Watch out if you take his class over the summer though, 'cause it moves WAY TOO FAST! If you fall behind in anything, his midterm and final will both be hellish experiences for you.

Easy class, just do quizzes and practice problems. He is NOT helpful outside of class. Does not respond to emails (NEVER) and hates it when you ask him questions. Basically, useless office hours.

Garrat is much more dynamic than the other econ professors. The material is still quite theoretical and boring, but he applies the material to life. Also, he is straightforward and uses the test bank, so if you study the w/out quizzes and past exams you will be fine.
