He's a really nice and easy teacher. You really don't have to do readings, but you def should go to lecture. He has a really quiet voice tho, so sit up close. Interesting class. i reccomend it!

I love Dr. Tooby. He is the sweetest man on earth. He is a little difficult, but that is only because he is exceptionally brilliant. I do not buy into Evolutionary Psychology, but I will be honest and say I am more interested in it now only because I have had the honor to study under Dr. Tooby.

the readings don't correlate to lectures. tooby is trying to teach two classes in one, evol. psych and biosocial anth. there are four books to read and about 2 ch. a week each. how can anyone in their right mind read so much. don't take him, he's boring, uninformative and not easy to understand.

If you have any opportunity whatsoever to take a class with John Tooby, consider yourself honored. He's a pioneer in the field of Evolutionary Psychology, and probably the most intelligent professor you will ever have. You will definitely expand your mind
