BAHAM M E
Took 120L: Dr. Baham is nice enough but it was not good. Lectures are irrelevant to the research project that is the entire point of the class. Every week, there is an individual Eli review assignment, eli review peer review, in-lab group assignment and in-lab individual assignment. ELI assigned Thurs night due Fri night. TAs nice but unhelpful.
Dr. Baham is very sweet but her lecture style does not adequately prepare you for the exams. The homework and labs are graded harshly. I have studied alot for this class and put effort into the assignments; however, her lectures are rushed and do not connect to the material to the standard at which her exams are testing us.
She explains concepts oddly. She doesn't do a great job of connecting ideas from previous lectures, and I sometimes feel like she doesn't even know what she is teaching. She is ALWAYS late. She is late to lecture, late for posting grades, late for everything. Overall, an ok class. Nothing crazy, just not for me.
Professor Baham is truly so kind. Make sure to study for the midterm well. Exams are 70% of your grade being one midterm and one final. I recommend finding good study techniques like creating a question per slide/important term to ensure you understand the meaning/applicability. There are three reflection papers and they are graded easily.
I loved Baham, she is such a great lecturer and person all around. Pretty fair class despite having no study outline, just make sure to study everything since there is a lot of info, although mostly common sense. She loves what she does which makes it all better. Assignments and exams are all fair and not unfair at all. Take her classes if you can!
Baham is one of my favorite professors so far here. She's so passionate about what she's teaching, and she makes a lecture heavy class feel so exciting and interesting. Her exams are not difficult as long as you paid attention in class and reviewed each of the lecture slides (didn't need the book that much). Going to miss this course w/ her!
Dr. Baham was super sweet and you can tell she cares a lot about Dev Psy. I voluntarily went to every single lecture even though I didn't need to - learned a lot. There's weekly quizzes with unlimited attempts and a few reflection assignments where you relate the class material to a personal experience. No curveballs on exams - easy to study for.
Baham is a very kind professor. She doesn't make the tests too tricky but there is a lot of material that you need to study for the midterm and final.
love her
Baham is so nice, I really liked coming to lectures. You can tell how passionate she is about psychology and her students. She wants you to understand the material and allows students to ask as many questions as they want. If you go to lecture, exams are fine especially if you review the material. She deeply cares and you can tell. :)
Professor Baham is so kind and wonderful. She is very clear about expectations and grading and open to feedback. She gives a lot of anecdotes and connections to the lectures showing she is very passionate about developmental psychology. The tests are super easy if you go to class and listen. 10/10 would recommend.
For starters, Dr. Baham is an extremely nice person who cares deeply about her students' success and the material she teaches. That said, I only did well in this class because a lot of what I do outside of school involves applied statistics, but I can see why her lecture style can be really confusing at times if you're not personally interested.
