I love Claudia/Prof Tyler! I haven't had her for any EEMB or ENV lectures, but I have had her as a professor in a few CCS BIO classes. She is extremely generous and loves make her lectures and classes relevant to what is going on at the moment. She is also very fast at responding to emails. I will definitely try to take more classes with her again!

Claudia is an amazing professor and I highly recommend her! The grade is based on weekly quizzes, assignments/participation in section, and a group presentation done in section. No midterm or final. The class is really interesting and stress-free. Lecture attendance is not mandatory but I-clicker attendance gives you extra credit

Dr. Tyler is one of the sweetest professors at this school. She seriously tries her best to help student succeed in her courses and she truly understands what everyone is going through. I strongly recommend that you take one of her courses.

This prof is literally so sweet and so genuinely understanding of the current pandemic situation. The class was graded solely on weekly quizzes (noncumulative) that were really simple and short, as well as weekly activities in section that were also easy and short. I feel like she actually wants students to succeed and learn in her class. A GEM!!!

She's my favorite UCSB lecturer. So kind and energetic. Her lecturing charisma is seriously unmatched. Tries so, SO hard to give everyone A's. The class is a crash course of our human-induced environmental science problems and potential solutions.

Dr. Tyler's the most adorable and charismatic speaker. Up close, she's warm and nurturing. She makes this class extremely doable and literally wants to give everyone an A. The class is also loaded with EC opportunities. The material is super relevant to our environmental issues today.

Maybe, instead of asking if she's a good enough professor for you, you should be asking if you're good enough for her. You cherish her.

Tyler is an amazing teacher. Her class is tested based on attendance in section and midterms. She gives you the questions used on the study guide so if you can fill in the study guide you are guaranteed an A. That being said you should go to lecture as her slides only have pictures so the study guide is easier to fill out with your own notes.

Professor Tyler is one of my favorite professor's at UCSB. Her passion and enthusiasm keep lectures interesting. She made me so much more knowledgeable and aware of conservation science. Guest speakers were awesome! 10/10 would take a class with her again

prof tyler is an amazing lecturer!! even though not all her info is on the slides, she's super funny and easy to follow in lecture. she really cares about her students and does her best to help everyone succeed. section assignments counted for 40% of the class so there wasn't as much pressure on the exams, and the material was super interesting.
