Went into this class thinking it would be an easy GE. I was wrong. Attendance is mandatory. Her communication about assignments is not clear. There was lots of confusion in the first few weeks that could have been easily avoided if she had been clearer on instructions and due dates. It's an easy A if you do everything asked, but really annoying.

Absolutely ruined my day every time she would talk about her students in such a negative way.

take this class for an easy A and GE credits. you will have to put up with her personality and random bs but if you can tolerate her it will be the easiest class of your life. i barely put in any effort and i got an a.

She acts like she's on ur side with things like bad wifi, messed up/unclear due dates of assignments, however then refuses to fix them. Pretty inconsiderate, and stuck up woman.

By FAR the worst professor Ive ever had. Super inconsistent with deadlines and overall made what could've been a super fun, chill class, miserable and inconvenient. She releases assignments at random times, refuses to admit that she was ever "wrong" about anything/messed up. She blames canvas headquarters for issues when in reality its just her.

Class was easy if you did the readings and made sure to follow rubric. Tests and assignments often only open on the weekends.

She gave assignments at the worst times that didn't help me learn and took so long. She would assign things on the weekends and not unlock it so I couldn't do them early or late, so if you were busy that weekend, you would just miss points on all assignments that week. It felt inconvenient on purpose. Easy to get an A. If you do the work you will.

She always said we would leave class early every day, but then we wouldn't lol. The lectures were boring, but overall really easy class. Definitely recommend as a GE. Don't skip class, but you don't even really have to listen.

If required iClicker (with zero mercy despite bad WiFi) not being enough, she creates random "reading checks" due at the most absurd and unpredictable times on random days. Bad policy on group attendance-- why are we losing points due to others' behavior? At the least the class is incredibly easy.

Really good class if you want an A but honestly kinda inconvenient. I-clicker was bad, the wifi in IV wasn't good and she's not understanding. Two required performances out of pocket. However prof. Holmes is very passionate and nice but removes points for talking. Check canvas often because easy to miss assignments, constant weekend work.

Genuinely easiest GE ever, only rough part is attending the mandatory lectures. Don't know how you can get anything less than an A.

She starts to post some quizzes on a random day, opens them only for a couple of hours, and then gets locked. No late submissions are accepted btw. Also, these quizzes are weighted 30% of your overall grade, so it really irritates you. Do not even go try to appeal and talk to her about this, it will ruin your day and the whole quarter.

Prof Holmes is passionate about dance, and I found some lectures interesting, but the required iClicker attendance with horrible internet was beyond frustrating-- after emailing many times they eventually adjusted my grade. One required performance got cancelled so we all had to scramble to find another. Overall an easy but inconvenient class.

This class is both easy and incredibly annoying. While grading is light and assignments are few, she will dock points from the entire class' "Community Consciousness" if one person is talking during lecture. The IV Theater also had very poor Wifi connection, which although out of her power, was not often taken into account. Easy A but at what cost?

The class itself was easy. It consists of three online exams, a daily iclicker question, a weekly 500 word discussion post, 2 mandatory dance performances, and a short reflection paper. The professor is nice but not very accommodating when it comes to technical issues. She also tends to deduct points from the whole class for other people's behavior

This class was supposed to be a non-stressful GE but she made it so unnecessarily difficult. Super annoying that all her assignments are due at different times of the day and only open for a few hours so you have to constantly check canvas. Only one paper which wasn't bad but had to attend multiple performances all out of pocket, gets expensive.

You really need to keep up with the assignments. Attendance is required, and she posts a random quiz or assignment that is only available for a couple of hours after the lecture, which is really annoying. The worst part is that after the due time, the assignment gets locked, and she does not accept late submissions.

Your participation is heavily required and graded. Honestly, watch out since she will not help you after the first week of classes if you have issues with iClicker. Most notably, the participation, attendance, and comportment of other students WILL affect your grade i.e; she will lower your grade if other people talk or leave early.

Super easy class. Ended up forgetting to take a quiz and received an automatic 50%, yet still ended with an A+. Prof Holmes wants everyone to get an A so if you take all of the quizzes and go to the performances you should be fine (have to pay $40). Didn't seem too interested in the subject though, complained about the topics lol

Stay up to date with modules! iClicker attendance heavily impacts your grade so GO TO CLASS! She wants you to get an A, so just put in the work. In-class pop quizzes, so that's another reason to go. Required to attend performances downtown too (you have to pay but not $$). Final online. Easiest GE. Definitely recommend!
