He's very funny although he does make the same jokes a lot. He makes chem a fun class to attend and I love his accent. Chem 1AB were very doable with Scott.

Scott is by far one of the best teachers I have had at UCSB. He's very approachable and I would definitely recommend learning chemistry from him. Anyone who didn't learn general chem from this man was missing out but he only teaches chem 1a and 1b. His tests are very fair so whatever work you put in is what grade you will get.

Best Chem 1B professor by far. His lectures are engaging, online homework (ALEKS) isn't terrible and is less than the other Chem 1B professors, and he's definitely willing to help you if you need it, he even stays extra for office hours and has lots of last minute office hours during finals to help out students. Definitely take Price!

Price is an amazing chem professor. He's hilarious, knows his stuff, and makes going to lecture fun.

Price is the best professor I've had at UCSB so far. This guy knows how to teach college students and WANTS you to learn and do well in his class. His tests are completely fair and your success in his class is purely based on the effort you put into it. I would sign up for Price even if it had to be an 8am, and that's saying something.

Best professor I have had a UCSB. He is extremely helpful if you go to office hours and show an effort in the class. As long as you put in the work and follow his suggestions on how to study for the class, you are set. His tests are tricky, however if you go to lecture and do the book problems and truly understand the material you will be fine.

Super clear and organized, even though the material itself was really tough. The tests are really hard because they're tricky, with the answer choices being answers that you could potentially get it you forget 1 step (and these are multi-step problems!). He's a nice guy, though, and dropped the final assessment on aleks! And he's SUPER HOT.

I love Price! His teaching style works so well for me and he's always willing to take questions. He's really funny and engaging so you don't mind paying attention in class. His tests are totally fair and he posts his old quizzes and exams online so you can use them as reference for studying! Absolutely great professor.

Price is crystal clear and extremely helpful, so even though attendance is optional, ATTEND CLASS OR YOU WON'T KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON. I attended most of the lectures and paid attention at maybe half of the ones I did attend, and managed to scrape a B. As long as you attend lecture and stay focused the whole time, the class should be an easy A!

By far one of my favorite Chemistry professors! His office hours were always fun to go to. Tests are pretty easy as long as you do all the practice exams and quizzes. If you ever get stuck on one of the practice quizzes or exams, go to office hours! I never read the book, just took notes on lectures and Aleks and i passed with an A.

Great professor. Explains material coherently and walks you through example problems on the chalk board. He sends out emails a day before his lectures that have assigned readings and questions that help you prepare for his lectures. Do all the book problems and past quizzesexams. They wil help you prepare for his quizzesexams.

Price is a man who is genuinely interested in helping out his students. Do ALL the recommended book problems because he loves putting math problems on the exams. Do all his old practice exams and you'll be fine. He's the absolute best professor I've ever had and I would take his class again in a heartbeat.

One of the best professors i've ever had, hands down. Demonstrations in class were always interesting and fun. On top of all that, Price knows how to teach to this generation better than anyone else. 11/10 would recommend

Dr. Price was a fantastic professor. If you follow his study plan you should get an A in CHEM 1B. He moves through lecture at a good pace and explains problems and concepts clearly. I got the sense that he really wanted his students to do well in the class. My only complaint is that on the day we had quizzes, he taught new material beforehand.

Very good professor! Extremely helpful and truly cares about all of his students. Very slow in teaching concepts, which is nice. Posts lectures online. Sends out emails before each class telling us what to expect in lecture, practice questions, etc. Do book problems and go to CLAS if you want to do well. It is definitely not an easy class!

Great professor! Awesome demonstrations, explains equations thoroughly, has a sense of humor, but difficult exams. DO THE BOOK PROBLEMS.

Price is a wonderful professor, keeps class interesting and brings in entertaining experiments. Book problems are a MUST to do well on the exams and CLAS complements the class very well. Very approachable professor in office hours and truly cares about his students and their doing well in the class!

Price is a good professor, he is organized nice..etc. BUT I feel like he goes over the easy concepts in class and the test are super challenging. I tried my hardest and still didn't do so great in the class. I say avoid him. Nice looking face and everything but don't take him...

Really awesome professor, probably the most organized and clear professor I've ever had. His lectures are very helpful but not mandatory since he uploads all his PPT slides to gauchospace. Take Price if you can!

He is a good lecturer, but he puts up powerpoints online to make it easy to miss class. Tests are comprehensible and are fairly easy if you put time into the class. Very helpful with curving as well.

Had Scott for Chem 1A/B. I came in knowing a little bit of chem (not AP), and got A+'s in both chem 1A and 1B. He really goes out of his way to make the concepts easy to understand, and before each midterm/final, hosts a review session just to make sure you do well. Do all the book problems, you'll definitely get at least an A- if you do.

At first, I was intimidated by Price. After going to his office hours, I realized that he's really nice and helpful. However, you really have to work hard in order to succeed in this class. Do book problems consistently and get help early. Go to CLAS and choose Sarah! She helped me get through Chem 1A and Chem 1B. Attend every lecture (iClicker)

Price is a great professor! The class is difficult for the exams are challenging. However, attending his office hours and doing book problems will help significantly on the exams and especially the final! Definitely take Scott! #priceisright
