Pedro is an amazing Portuguese instructor. He cares about your learning. He makes himself available outside of class to help you. He encourages you to keep on improving by helping you with your weaknesses. He's also funny and understanding. I learned a lot in his class.

Pedro is hands down the best TA I've had during my time at UCSB. Because his courses are language classes, attendance and participation are necessary however Pedro creates an environment that makes students want to engage. Always available to assist in and out of the classroom and truly wants the best for his students at all times. Highly recommend

Pedro has been the best TA I've had at UCSB. He deeply cares about teaching and therefore expects that his students come committed and prepared to class. There are assignments almost every day and the tests are fair, you just need to study and you will do well. He encourages participation and makes students want to show up to class and learn!

Pedro (he insists you call him Pedro) is an absolute joy to have as a professor. Even though the class is 4 days a week, which may seem like a lot for some people, the sense of community in the classroom makes it worth it. I didn't need this class for my major, but this is the best decision I've made as a class to enjoy and make new friends. 10/10.

Pedro has been one of my favorite people to be taught by in my 3 years at UCSB. He is not only charismatic and funny, but he's also super helpful. He is the only TA I have had who reached out when he noticed I was struggling. He accommodates his time to fit your schedule and offers communication through personal medias as well as through email.

Pedro was by far the best Portuguese professor I had throughout the series. He definitely expects you to put effort into his class, but puts just as much work and effort back into you. I enjoyed the fact his class wasn't straight from the book and included activities from other resources. Also super approachable and an overall lovely person.

Pedro is a really easy-going professor who cares about his students progress in the Portuguese language. If you show effort, he will do as much as he can do make sure you succeed in the class. Hes very friendly and passionate about teaching so dont hesitate to utilize his office hours or ask him questions in class! Overall one of the best profs.

Pedro is the most understanding person ever. He's very flexible with his office hours and homework due dates when necessary. He has to give homework almost every day but it's very easy and short if you don't procrastinate. It will also prepare you for the tests (sometimes he uses some homework exercises in the tests). Overall, a great person.

Pedro cares about his students and he understands that we have other classes and a life as well. He is relatable and makes learning a new language fun. If you are struggling he is always willing to meet in his office hours and is very accommodating with time to even meet extra hours if you need more help.

Has a dynamic and complex personality that reflects an effective and quality practice of teaching skills. Pedro rejects the traditional style of academics. Instead he creates a family, this community enhanced my experience beyond all expectations. Overall his kind spirit, yet demanding requests for learning creates the perfect environment to excel.

I've been taught a few languages by a handful of different people, and Pedro is by far the best: most effective, most caring, most approachable, most fun. There's a lot of work, so you need to do a little a day. He pushes you to keep up and get ahead but is accommodating to whatever trouble you may be having as long as you let him know about it.

Hands down BEST TA I've ever had (and great person overall). There is a reasonable amount of homework & online activities and he expects you to do it all but understands you have other classes going on & is very patient and helpful. Attendance is key but he honestly & sincerely cares about his students & you will end up WANTING to go to his class.
