Very little homework (only 10 easy webwork problems) and exams are very similar to practice exams. 15% quizzes, 15% homework, 20% midterm each and 30% final. Easy A. Take this class if you want to raise your GPA

Decent professor. Lectures are a bit boring but overall class was easy. Final had extra credit which improved my grade

I have no idea why the reviews above are bad. This was hands down the single best math class I have ever taken and made me see a side of math that I can get behind. Also his notes are super nice and well-organized. The only downside is that there is a lot of homework but there is always Math Lab. Besides, you can always ask questions on Nectir.

You are going to have to teach yourself the material outside of class because he finds a way to make the class so boring. The material is actually quite interesting and fun to do. Do yourself a favor and take this class with someone else. HW is only 10 questions a week, 2 midterms and a final, and weekly quizzes in section which can be pretty easy.

Professor Shah has definitely improved from his first quarter here. He has made his exams easier and even allowed us a notecard on the midterm. He is difficult to understand in lecture, but his notes are easy enough to understand. We have quizzes in section which are definitely easy to pass if you pay attention to your TA.

Amazing teacher. I don't get why everyone is rating him so low. Math 3B is usually this hard, he's the easier teacher actually. He easily gave me 5-10% on my final grade just by grading very easily. All I got to say is that he's very fair but the webwork is very tough(though all math classes have way harder webworks than tests supposedly)5+ hours

He is responsible and responds to your email promptly. If you want to learn in-depth, then take his class. Tests were challenging, but he gave a nice curve with extra 10 points out of 50 points.

This class was devastating. I used all sources available; still wasn't able to fully understand anything. Spent hours in math lab working on hw where even graduate students couldn't help us. Lectures made no sense; left even more confused. Post Course Summary: I couldn't tell you even if I wanted to because I don't know what happened in that class.

Lectures were super confusing. Homework took an average of 5 hours a week for me, on top of frequent tutoring. Quizzes are super easy but midterms and final are very difficult.

Waqar is a great guy and responds to student feedback, however, this class is very difficult and lectures will often leave you more confused. In order to finish Webwork, you need to go to either CLAS drop in hours (I recommend) or Math Lab and even then it will take hours to complete. Be prepared to put in a lot of work outside of class!

Very Challenging course, but you will learn a lot from the lecturer.

This class was unnecessarily difficult. The webwork assigned would take hours to complete and even CLAS and math lab tutors struggled with the content. The midterm grades had very low averages and were difficult to prepare for. Waqar is very sweet and wants you to succeed, he responds quick to emails as well. However he is not a very good teacher.

If u think you understood calc now u dont, you are screwed. there is an abundance of homework and not much direction with it. Math lab tutors struggle to help us with it. Webwork takes hours. he rushes at the end of each lecture but yet still expects you to understand homework. he is a nice guy, but nice doesnt help me on the tests or homework

This class will be rough for people with no prior knowledge of Calc BC. Unless you self-study the night before, topics will be hard to grasp during the fast-paced lecture. HW is a nightmare. Quizzes are easy. Midterms are difficult, but not impossible. Waqar is also quick to reply to emails and willing to help on problems outside of class. .

He makes already difficult content even harder. The webworks are impossible and take hours. The midterms are more difficult than any examples covered in class. It was easier to do well in chem than to do barely average in this class. Unless you already have a solid understanding of this content, I would advise against taking this course.

The class exhibits a very high level of difficultly compared to other 3B classes. The homework assigned is roughly double that of the other classes, and topics are covered much faster than usual, with this course going over more concepts. The midterm averages are extremely low. This class will requires excess time commitment if you want to succeed.

His lecture is difficult.Questions from webwork are hard. But Dr. Waqar is very responsible, and he even respond your email promptly at the midnight. He cares more about understanding the concept. If we made a very small mistake but the overall idea is right, he still give us credits. He took suggestions,I can see he teach lots slower than before.
