Valentina is an awesome professor, go to the lectures, read the book and the exams are not bad at all. She engages the class, and the topic is very interesting. She is so nice, love her to bits. Take this class she is excellent and you learn a lot about the EU she knows every detail of EU history, it amazed me. Two thumbs up :)

Excellent class; definitely recommended. She teaches very clearly and when someone does have a question, she answers it very well. There's generally homework every night, but it really isn't that much, and if you study, even if just for a bit, tests are very easy.

valentina is a very fair teacher. She does not allow exceptions. She's interesting but not attention captivating. I highly recommend sitting in the front row.

Valentina is, by far, one of the best teachers at UCSB. Her lectures are clear and concise. The amount of information and time allotted are well-balanced. Quizzes are easy and the weekly homework assignments take 10 minutes to complete. The midterm and final were also simple. As long as you attend each day and participate you’re guaranteed an A!

Valentina is just the sweetest teacher. She will review whatever you don't understand until you get it. Easiest A i've gotten so far. She even wrote a letter of recommendation for me!

Padula's ITAL 1 class is very easy and so are her tests. It is very easy to get an "A" on her tests and in her class so long you keep up with the material. She always has a positive attitude even when she is sick. She is fantastic!

I loved Valentina. I am inept at languages and she made italian so easy to learn and understand! SHE IS AMAZING!!!! i hope that i get her for italian 2!!!

Great teacher--employs great learning methods such as supplemental worksheets and partner exercises. Keeps your Italian on your toes; prepares her students well for the exams and you'll also learn about the Italian culture and Italian people. She is also very stylish!

She is great! Very interesting. Fell asleep rarely because it was at 9am. Midterm was easy and the final was almost exactly as the study sheet. Recommend highly!!
