honestly the worst professor i've ever had. egotistical and extremely unhelpful. makes the tests way to hard for the time period he allows. just took the final today and 75% of the class was not finished at his "two hour" mark, so he gave everyone five more min. GREAT. pretty much half the class is failing
I took ECON 3A awhile ago and now I'm in 136A with him again. He is by far my favorite economics professor. He rewards students that work hard and go to lecture, and doesn't stress me out at all. I love to go to his class and actually learn something practical!
Hilarious guy. Knows the material and explains it in a fun and understandable way. Its not an easy class but you will learn a lot.
Anderson is a huge doosh. He made the first two midterms super hard and the second one was not at all what anyone expected contentwise. He thinks he's hot stuff but trust me, he's a ginormous loser. Only an easy final allowed me to pull out a B in the class. I'd take it with Loster if he teaches the class again...I heard he's not bad.
Very good teacher. Keeps lectures to the point and uses the board and projector.
Effectively uses powerpoint, presents the material in a relevant manner, and always seems to be in a good mood. Unlike most Econ professors, Anderson does not have a ridiculous ego and is relatively proficient at teaching, not research.
Bob is good anyway
Excellent professor with a lot of experience in accounting. Obviously knows the topic very well & provides great and hilarious stories during lectures. Also helpful during office hours & always responds to your email/calls/questions immediately. One of the few professors who knows how to use a combo of PowerPoint slides & the board effectively.

professor is hard. material is easy enough, but lots of busy work. assigns stupid, unclear, misleading project. when you ask him for help he is very vague and just says "answer the question", then marks you down when you aren't wordy and superflous in your answer.
the first midterm was alright. second midterm was completely different from the exams from previous years. final was different as well. final was hard! make sure you do the lab early. i waited until the last minute and it wasn't very fun. I finished though.
Bob is the best accounting teacher I've had so far at UCSB! He makes the class very interesting, and he's really funny guy. You can call him whenever you want and he actually answers his phone and is wiling to help you. I actually really wanted to go to class at 9:30am every time to hear him lecture. Also, he lets us out 20 mins early most days.
The best accounting teacher I have encountered thus far at UCSB. At 8 AM the class is actually pretty interesting, which is quite an accomplishment. He is straight-forward and very clear with his expactations. His tests are very fair. You'll learn alot, or at least I did. Reccomended.
Boring, boring, boring. Thinks he's really cool cause he rides a skateboard and tries to wear Billabong with his loafers. Nope, still not cool. Has a bit of an attitude and is kinda a dick towards students. He goes way to fast through the material, beware...
Do all of the old tests, he recycles a lot of questions. He doesn't deviate from it very far, except during the first exam. First exam is hard but after that, it's okay. Do the honors section if you have time, you'll learn a lot of "real-world" advice from him. Do well in the homework, don't write it off, it may make a +/- difference.
This class involves a lot of memorizing of rules and procedures. Overall an ok professor. I liked him better for 136A. This class is probably one of the more boring of the accounting classes.
Excellent professor. Easy to talk to and very helpful.
Class is a waste, half the time he talks about what he did at KPMG or what he does at RAFS. Tests are hard but should not be because not tha many concepts. questions are either straight memorization or very vague application CPA style questions. Says he does it to help prep for CPA but you wont walk out of class prepared for the auditing section.
This class is cake if you go to class, study old tests, and do the work you're assigned to do. Bob always gave good examples and showed us step by step how to do each problem that would be on the tests, not to mention what would be on the tests. How much easier can it get? There's also nothing wrong with professors sharing notes, many do.
Somewhat of a has-been who really can't teach to save his life. Would rather reminisce about when he was a supposedly studly surfer. His graphs and handwriting are extremely sloppy and unclear, and his only study materials are HARMON'S slides. Are you kidding me? Take with Harmon if possible, you'll learn a lot more than with this "dude."
A horrible teacher and suprised that he is able to be a teacher in UCSB! Doesn't know how to teach, use Professor Harmon's slides as his teaching materials. Does not do his job well at all.
Cool Proff. Had better, but he's pretty cool for an econ teacher. The most boring ass class ever though
This class was not hard. The final was a bit long with time constraint. But after all there was a generous curve. I think Bob did a great job in econ 132. I think we all need to appreciate the fact that he tried to make the class somewhat entertaining while still tailoring it to prepare us for the CPA exam. Great prof. with real world experience.
Great Class with an awesome Professor. All the idiots who are saying he didn't tell you what to memorize need to figure it out. He did a great job incorporating real world experience in with the material and really focused on preparing us for the CPA exam. Material was pretty boring but if you went to lecture it made a lot of sense.
