He teaches way more useful thing than other instructors for this course. This was really stressing, but I also learnt a lot. I was worrying if I could get an A the whole time, since he said that the course may not be curved. However, in the end he still gave a curve. He is also very helpful and supportive, though sometimes not that patient.
He is my fav prof! He talks very fast but I had no problem understanding him.
I liked his lectures (funny guy), light homework, and tests weren't too difficult, but he'll often try to trick students, purposely writing misleading answers on practice test solutions to trick those who don't pay attention in lecture. Spent hours figuring out why my answers didn't line up with his... turns out he just wrote it wrong on purpose.
cool and caring guy, definitely recommend his class
If you don't miss his class, you will get an A.
He is an alright professor and probably on the better end for the math department. His lectures seem lengthy and sometimes starts talking about things you never need to learn. He gives practice tests that are very similar to his real tests and he gives decent partial credit. Overall average professor.
Took his summer class. Math has never been my favorite subject, but with his teaching I was able to understand the material. And Professor Cho is very kind too. Thank you!
Tough concepts but the exams are very similar, some of which are exactly the same, to the examples given in class. Gave us very generous curves in the end.
very nice in grading and exams
Very nice professor, grading is very generous.
Amazing lectures, very accessible during office hours. Easy A.
You have to go to class, because the entire course is based on his lectures and he will give you hints about the problems on the midterms and finals. As long as you listen in class and do the practice tests, you know exactly what will be on each test. Some of my friends in the class didn't like his lecture style, but I really enjoyed it :))
Professor Cho is overall a decent professor, but he used to go on tangents about math concepts that were although interesting, not relevant if you are not a mathematics major. I think the grading on his exams were pretty fair, but I did most of my learning from my TA in section.
Professor Gunhee is helpful and willing to clearify everything in his classes and office hours. Our grade includes 2 mids, 1 final and 7 hws, but the lowest 3 will be dropped. However, I strongly recommend finishing all hws since questions in mids and final all resemble hw questions. Do everything assigned (literally hws), and you will be fine.
