Decent option for this class. Lectures are kinda boring/drawn out but informative. Homework was pretty fair and extra practice problems were provided if needed. The midterm was also fair, but it was kinda a time crunch. Main complaints are some final questions being completely different from any practice or homework and long, pre-written lectures

firstly, quizzes were cancelled and was replaced with homework. Her lectures aren't too bad altho she tends to go over the designated 2hr and 45mins ish. midterm was hard and we weren't prepared. THE TIME CRUNCH. 50minutes for the midterm and only 1 hour and 30mins for final. no exam or extra practices prepared us for the final questions.

She's a nice person and her class was organized well since she started using printed notes in lectures instead of her handwritten ones, but everything dropped from a cliff when the final hit: it's not even about how hard it was, it's simply that we've been tested on things we've not learned in class, ever, in anything we've done. Defines impossible

The midterm was pretty easy, except the time was too short. I did every single practice for the exam and 3 of the 10 questions came out of nowhere. They were obscure topics we only covered in lecture. I dont feel like the test really reflected what we learned, practiced, or things we were told were important.

THE FINAL FOR THIS CLASS IS 2 FAST

The reason why Ravats ratings are all so different is because she is very inconsistent. I enjoyed the way she taught and organized the class until the final hit. Our final was super rushed and many of the questions were like nothing we had gone over in class. No amount of studying couldve prepared me for that final.

Boring lecturer. Her homework isn't too bad, but the optional "extra practice problems" can be quite difficult and are longer. Time constraints on both midterm and final are ridiculously tight and frankly unfair. Exam wording is very particular and easily misconstrued. Overwhelming amount of material to study (lectures, HW, practice problems).

This is just a terrible class!!!!!!!!! Too much workload and really tense time for midterm and final. Only 1h30 mins for 10questions which involve subquestions on most of the questions on the final. Sounds like an impossible mission to most of the students. Reallyyyyy hard grading policy and soooo much work to do!!!!! NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL!!!!

I was initially worried because of Ravat's bad reviews but the class has been anything but. No attendance required. Has a bit of an accent but doesn't affect understanding. She explains concepts mostly well. Very accommodating with our needs and time zones. She is caring and holds weekly surveys to ask for our opinions. Homework is reasonable.

Okay prof, but beware he writes small. Also too many typos in the hw.

He's pretty funny and very good at stats. But he has an accent and moves very quickly through lecture slides. You NEED to sign up for CLAS, because the (2x a week) sections are worthless (but mandatory thanks to required labsquizzes). I had a fantastic TA named Brian, and an downright amazing CLAS tutor named Binh Pham. The final was hard. Study.

The best statistics professor I've had. Ludkovski knows what's up, and has a sense of humor. The Russian accent is nice to listen to. You are going to have to work hard in this class but you will learn a lot. Tests are challenging and test for knowledge rather than just recycling homework or practice test questions. The final curve gave ~7%.

The classes he teaches just happen to be challenging courses but overall a good teacher. Tests are harder than expected. Have to work hard to get the grade.

horrible. bad accent which made it hard to understand. worst handwriting ever. $200 book which we never opened. lectures were pointless. homework was extremely hard and then nothing like the tests so it didn't even matter. worst stat teacher.

Overall is a very good teacher and highly professional. Sometimes speak a little too fast, but you get used to it. The class was very well organized and easy to follow. One of the best experiences at PSTAT department so far!
