I work hard and get a A without curve. But actually I don't think it is easy to get A for this course. The concept or material isn't too hard, but the wording in exams sometimes are hard to understand, so you have to really work hard and prepare. But actually she is very responsible and the lecture slide is easy to follow, which can self-learned

Overall the class really isn't too bad. I didn't attend lectures at all, but the material is very easy to self teach. Concepts aren't hard at all, just her midterms/finals are worded incredibly confusing, forcing you to really understand the concepts.

Thought the reviews were over exaggerating. The wording on her tests are very confusing. I started doing better when I stopped going to lectures and taught myself the content. However, her class structure is easy to understand. Three tests each worth 30% of your grade and the other 10% is assignments. Trust the reviews.

Grade is based on 3 non-cumulative exams taken throughout the quarter. Not too difficult if you attend lecture and study using the past exams. Lectures can be hard to keep up with; she talks very fast and slides lack information. Final grade is curved. Honestly wasn't as bad as people say, but would not recommend if looking for an easy GE.

Avoid this professor! Goes through slides too quick, doesn't do a good job at explaining concepts either. I thought the bad reviews were exaggerated, but they ended up being true. 3 midterms, worth 90%, practice tests don't even help prepare cause exams are MUCH harder. Just teach yourself the material or don't take the class with her.

Three tests that determine your grade. Averages on the first two tests were a 65% and a 60% which shows the difficulty and bad wording of them. Had a B+ going into the final test and got an 18/20 but still ended up with a B+. Bad class.

wanted to like her so bad since she is lowkey a girlboss. 3 tests worth 90% of your grade sound like they're written in a different language even though material itself is not hard. ta was confused by trick questions sometimes. told the class she makes it hard to weed students out of the econ major.

90% of grades are exams the worst professor ever never seen such a disgusting professor grading like her🤮

Pretty much self-taught everything. Don't take this professor, it's not worth the amount of stress you go through just to get a B. Take the other professor for Econ 1.

Not too good of a lecturer: fast-paced, just reads slides (all up online). I agree some test questions are worded poorly. Otherwise, she gives EVERYTHING you need to succeed (old exams, hundreds of practice ?s, daily TA OHs, section notes, Zoom exam prep, etc). Can't blame her for a bad grade, genuinely no excuses. If you want an A, you'll get one

her test questions are often inspired by random things, like this random dude that did a tiktok dance during out lecture. the exams were not that hard, if you go over the past exams thoroughly, u'll be ok. her questions are very unpredictable. self learned a lot. TAs don't do much but theyre nice. she would compensate if the class avg was low

Really horrible lectures need to self-teach to pass,

Not terrible. I recommend teaching yourself the material as much as possible through the slides, attendance for section/lecture not mandatory. 90% grade is 3 midterm exams (she curves fairly), 10% weekly quizzes that can be done as many times for full points, no final. Not very accessible, but TAs help. Practice with the posted past exams!!!

Makes so many excuses. "Made the test a tad bit too hard" so makes the next test even harder. "There's limited spots in the econ major so i made the tests hard" bruh. "Men are more likely to complain its the professors fault" I think she said that idk... if that's true that's actually crazy

If you try and study a lot you can probably do good or decent in the class, but really its not worth the stress. I stressed so much for this class after getting the "class average" score (13/20 which was technically failing without a curve). Lectures are tbh usless in the sense of learning any material. Take the other professor to not stress..

I don't understand how anyone could've enjoyed this professor. I legit learned everything by myself and nothing through the professor and she makes the most riddle like questions ever. Congrats to those who got a good score, wish I could've studied with yall. The study material literally gives wrong answers and thinking process for the real test.

Her teaching is subpar; you have to teach yourself a lot of the material. Even section TAs were confused about why some of the material was being taught in Econ 1. Midterms are harder than the practice tests. Just take it with the other guy who teaches it. A lot of the answers for the practice questions are wrong

As much as I wanted to dislike her, I couldn't. I can tell she is a genuine professor and that she cares about her students. She is not the best, which is why I would recommend taking another if you aren't familiar with econ. If you already have some knowledge, or don't mind taking the time to teach yourself the concepts, this class is for you.

Probably worst professor of the campus, very rude, not willing to help, only grades off of 3 tests and everyone failed, then proceeded to email "Hi all, The exam turned out to be just a tad too hard." Worst prof, do not take.

Reviews do a good job of summarizing how everyone feels, only reason I understood the class concepts was because of the TA's and sections. Although they were not mandatory I would recommend going to them.Take the other Econ professor if you can, literally made me crash out so much, praying I pass.

Most of these other reviews paint a pretty clear picture; confusing test questions, almost entirely pointless lectures, and difficult attitude. Try and avoid if you're trying to take econ 1.

Going to lecture was pointless and not mandatory. If you haven't taken micro already this course might be hard and you'll have to teach yourself the material. The past exams she releases are a HUGE resource and the only way I was able to get a decent score. Your grade is based on 3 tests worth 30% each. There might be a curve on your final grade.

questions on test were worded weird to mess students up. Fire fits. #would
