Price is a fantastic professor worthy of the hype he gets. Tbh, he's not cheerful like I imagined him to be, but you can tell he loves what he does. Every once in a while he'll crack a joke. His demos are super cool. He truly knows how to lecture and convey information in a clear and understandable way. If you have the choice, take him.

Price is easily one of the best lectures for the Gen Chem series. He obviously cares about helping his students do well and gives you the resources to succeed. Like all the classes in the series, your grade depends on the work you put in. If you take the time to learn the concepts and do practice exams, you're guaranteed an A.

Scott Price is a gem. He truly loves lecturing chemistry and he is extremely concise and coherent. His jokes are nutty and charming and he provides a lot of support before midterms and the final. Wonderful guy.

Scott is a great professor. Very clear lectures, cares about student and makes an effort for everybody to learn. I would take him for all my chem classes if he taught them all. You wont regret taking this class with him

Dr. Price is one of the best genchem profs! He makes lots of relatable jokes to help understand the material, is super caring, and really loves his job and his students. Cannot recommend him more. As long as you go to class and do the practice tests you should get a good grade in the class. Grade is 2 MTs, final, ALEKS, and iClicker.

Great lecturer. Clearly, thoroughly, and quickly explains the problems and how to solve them. Probably the best chem teacher here, he just know what he's doing and can help you know what you're doing. Also a pretty rad dude besides that. take him

Easily one of the best gen chem professors. This class can be really tough, especially for the first 4 weeks so make sure you do the practice exams and book problems. His lectures are certainly worth going to so don't be tempted to skip them.

Take as much of gen chem with Price as you can, he's just the best. Really straight forward, helpful explanations. I didn't understand chemistry at all until I had him for 1B. Love his sense of humor too. Gem of a man.

His lectures are on point: well-organized, specific, and interesting. Offers lots of practice material for you to work on (the key to doing well in his class), and gives you different grading options. Also has plenty of funny moments. I wish I could have this guy for Ochem haha.

Interesting and funny guy in lecture. The best of the Gen Chem profs in my opinion. Do the book problems and the practice quizzes/exams. The textbook is really only for the book problems. He makes things very clear and posts lectures before class online. Definitely recommend.

I barely passed Chem 1A & failed Chem 1B the first time when both were taken with a different professor, but when I took 1B with Price everything was so easy! He explains everything so in detail, really tries to make examples super easy for students to understand, and shows cool demos that keep the class engaged. 10/10 recommend Prof. Price!!

Scott is awesome. He's very accommodating to a student's needs if you have special ones, just go to his office hours. He's super helpful during office hours if you need to go over coursework but also just a really cool guy to talk to. He does little experiments in relation to the material which are always fun and goofy and he gives grading options.

A wonderful professor! Really cares about the class and is very good at making chemistry something that everyone can understand. Funny and gives many demonstrations and everyday life examples.

Professor Scott is THE MAN. He is just an amazing professor. He is passionate about what he does and he clearly loves teaching. He makes jokes in class, uses great analogies to explain difficult concepts, and does super cool demos. Also, he gives revision sessions before exams. And a bonus point, he is super super cute!

Best chem professor at UCSB! Would definitely take his class again! Super passionate about teaching, really cares about his students, and does many demos to visually reinforce concepts and makes class super fun and engaging. Clear and excellent at explaining difficult concepts to students in the most concise way. BEST ALL AROUND quality professor!

Amazing Professor! Explains concepts at least three different ways, so you can understand it. He gave an outline or a study plan for the final and gives super helpful studying tips. There are so many practice tests available. Honestly, I can say nothing bad about him.

In-depth lectures, gives step-by-step explanations. Very passionate and wants you to succeed, 2 quizzes, 2 midterms and 1 final. People are always at his office hours, so he's very approachable and helpful. Has cool demonstrations and has midterm & final reviews.

Dr. Price really knows his stuff. His ability to explain complex concepts in simple words is a gift. As long as you do everything he tells you, you can get an A. It's all hard work and patience. There is no such thing as luck. You can do it!

He's an amazing lecturer who is always clear and coherent. He's super good-looking for a professor so in lecture, I mostly just think of all the things I'd do to him outta class. STUDY HARD if you're not good at chemistry.

Price was adorable. He was approachable and had a great sense of humor. Of course, Price was also an excellent professor. He presented the material simply, and he often did demonstrations in class. His blackboards were ridiculously clear. Prices exams accurately tested for understanding, so if you learn the material and study, you'll do just fine.

A professor who wants all his students to succeed. His lectures are extremely clear and informative in the most concise way. Most of the questions that arose in my head as he was teaching the material were successively clarified moments after he finishes addressing the concept. He knows the questions and points of confusions students might have.

best professor I have had at UCSB. He is very clear in his lectures and tries to engage students. Highly recommend taking him for the CHEM 1 series. I had him for all three, but did the best in 1C. Tests can be tricky! So, go to office hours, review sessions, and do recommend book problems and practice exams and you should be fine

He posts recommended book problems from the 7th and 6th edition. I repeat : HE POSTS BOOK PROBLEMS FROM THE 6TH EDITION!!! SAVE YOURSELF SOME MONEY AND BUY THE SECOND TO NEWEST BOOK EDITION AND YOU WILL DO JUST AS WELL IN THE CLASS! Great professor, explains concepts in a way you understand. Best professor in chem, take him if you can.
