Professor pulls all material straight from the textbook. What I thought was going to be a very interesting class turned out to me not wanting to go to lecture. Wouldn't recommend.

She doesn't care about her students. At all. She scheduled office hours during a TA's discussion section and when asked would not schedule secondary office hours. Don't try talking to her after class or she will blow you off and probably won't even remember your name! Her lectures are decent but I don't think she likes students.

slides are not organized and are all over the place. Lectures are boring, even though the subject is interesting. Just read the textbook, honestly. Halfway through the quarter, I just stopped going because the lecture wasn't helping me learn. Read the textbook or just take another ecology at the same time, and you'll do fine for exams.

She is very very kind and takes feedback seriously. The content itself I found very intuitive and easy- and a lot of review from lower division eemb courses. The midterms were more than fair, and the final was not cumulative. She also gives lots of hints during lecture about what exactly is going to be on the test. Study, and you'll def get an A

I highly recommend this class for anyone needing upper division bio credits. The class is really manageable and the workload is not bad at all. The tests are very straightforward and all the info needed is on the slides. Go to lecture because she always drops hints about exactly what she will test on and its been consistent every time. Love her

This class can be a bit boring and there is a decent amount of material. She is an alright lecturer and can be a tad annoying at times. The class is graded based off three non-cumulative exams which are decently easy if you study, online quizzes, and homework. Make sure to pay attention in lecture and reading is helpful for a better understanding.

do not take eemb 120 with her, class is only based on two midterms one project almost impossible to get an A.

Dr. Moeller is a really good lecturer! She grades very fairly and gives partly credit. One thing that sets apart Dr. Moeller from other professors is that she will email you separately if she sees you're doing poorly in class and encourages you to come to her office hours (which help a lot)!

Amazing and funny professor! Her grading criteria was straightforward with hw assignments being 40% of the grade and exams (3) being 60%. Her lectures emphasized what would be on the tests so I suggest paying attention. I found exams to be based on lecture slides but reading should still be done to solidify info. Practice exams are super helpful!

Professor Marsh was a good professor. She gave us slides that you need to fill in during lecture, but towards the end, she gave us filled in slides so you don't have to go. Tests are based directly from the lecture slides. Homework was fairly easy, just an assignment once a week. And she gives out candy.

Unprofessional, rude, doesn't take student suggestions, doesn't post slides

Prof Marsh is very understanding. Her lectures outline the points in a pretty broad sense (for what you need to know on exams and quizzes), so I suggest reading the text book to get a deeper understanding of the material. Also use flashcards!!!! Physical ones!!! they helped me pull my grade from a low B to an A.

I really enjoyed her. She did not always explain concepts in the best way, but she had to go through a lot of material. She definitely cares about the students, and always replied to my emails. Her tests were a little difficult, but she would take questions off if too many students got it wrong. She was overall a good professor.

Better than Low, but that's not saying much. There were small issues in the class that will hopefully be better next time. Study the slides and only use the textbook for explanations. There are a couple of very specific questions that are taken from the slides. HW is busywork, but helps your grade. Very small curve. Do the extra credit!

Marsh was an amazing professor for bio, especially after surviving Low. She is clearly passionate about the content and cares a lot for the students. Her class has 3 non-cumulative exams and weekly quizzes/writing assignments. Pay a lot of attention in lecture since she drops hints and such.

The Low -> Marsh pipeline is PEAK, be grateful. Tests are non-cumulative & ALL MC, she gives hints out for test content constantly in lecture, provides extra credit opportunities, is super communicative & honest via email when students need help, and tried to make the terrible 8 AM lecture time more bearable using dad jokes. Remember: big picture!

Marsh is GREAT professor! You can tell she's very passionate about what she teaches. There's 3 exams, weekly homework (either short quizzes/short writings) but it wasn't that bad! She throws no curveballs on the exams, just make sure to pay attention in lecture since there's a lot of content to know. I learned so much and actually enjoyed it.

She was nice and I went in for help a lot, but I don't think that she really compensates for students who don't have a really strong background already with modeling and calculus. Her review sessions were incredibly unuseful and so were the study guides. Tests were hard- basically memorize the lecture notes. Partial credit is nice.

For a non-math person, this class is pretty difficult, but Dr. Moeller really wants everyone to do well, and she's so sweet and helpful. The exams were difficult, but there's a lot of partial credit given, so just try your best. Labs are a lot, but the expectations are clear. Overall, do your best and ask for help, and you're going to be okay.

Professor Moeller took a subject that could have extremely difficult and boring and made it engaging and easy to understand. While the class can move fast at times, she is very transparent with what she wants you to know and every test question felt fair, even if it was a difficult.Coding help hours are also awesome, as they just give the answers.

Holly is one of the best professors I've had and has an incredible gift for teaching. She's so compassionate and helpful! Her lectures are recorded, but also fun to attend in real time. The 3 hr lab is tough, but it's important to pay attention to do well on the HW. Keep up with final project optional deadlines in order to do well!

Holly is amazing. She speaks so eloquently and explains concepts so clearly in lectures. It's clear that she's truly an expert in her field. She's also so kind, definitely one of the sweetest professors I've had. In the end I believe the class was curved up a little too! Only downside was the 3 hour lab sections, but they were manageable :)

Dr. Moeller is a gem. She's super passionate, well-spoken, and is able to read the room well to make sure students are following. The material is also super interesting and challenging, and you learn R during computer labs. Grade depends on two midterms, a final project, and weekly lab assignments. The TA's are awesome too!

Dr. Moeller is well-spoken & passionate about biological math models. The class has grad students in it & everyone is graded on the same scale. Exams make u apply the math concepts learned in lecture. Do the practice problems. The weekly coding lab reports and final group project pull up your exam grades so don't panic.
