Very easy class. She is a very, very nice woman and keeps the class simple so it's possible for anyone to get an A with just a little work. Don't be afraid of having a test every other week -- they're short and easy and it really works a lot better than a huge midterm & final. Sections are easy 'cause you get full credit for just doing the work.

To tell you the truth, I took this class before with another professor and got a D so I had to retake it with Holmes. Nice lady and VERY easy class. I never went to any lectures, just read the book and did the practice problems. you have to go to section twice a week and the practice problems are similar to the tests.

Such a great class. Very easy "A" if you just do the work and study a little. The class has 5 tests, but no official midterm or final, so you finish during dead week. If you have difficulty at all, sign up for CLAS and your grade will increase so much.

Lectures are somewhat dry, but direct and they get the job done. Sections are easy. Practice tests are usually very similar to tests, but sometimes she mixes it up, so be aware of that. Overall, fairly easy class, if not quite so easy as some make it out to be.

good prof with a nice british accent. lectures are so easy to follow. ive always been bad with math but i got an A in this class. do the practice tests to study for the exams, they are the same. sections are easy too

Super easy class; take it just as a GPA booster. you never need the book, she goes over everything in class, and the tests are IDENTICAL to the practice tests.

she goes through EVERY step in the problems in lecture (even the things that dont need explaining). she gives you the formulas necessary for each exam, so all you need to know is which formula to use for which problem and where to plug the numbers in. very easy class. plus her accent and certain words she uses makes the class entertaining.

Class is boring, but the she makes the tests easy. No reason to not get an A

This has to be the easiest math class I've ever taken. The teacher is so nice, calm, and fair. She expects almost nothing out of you. Discussions are a joke, you go in and do a worksheet for 15 minutes and leave. Her tests followed the practice tests exactly, and she gives you all the formulas you need on a cheat sheet.

Really easy class! Just do the practice midterms and you'll do great on the midterms because they're exactly the same. Great Prof, goes really slow so it might get boring, but as long as you pay a little bit of attention you'll do great

She is the nicest and most helpful teacher! She'll always be willing to answer Qs or if you have any concerns. She gives practice midterms(3) and Practice final (non cumulative). She gives examples in class and had lecture slides (not posted online), and lab worksheets posted online; you're allowed to do lab and section work in groups. Great teache

Extremely easy class! you don't have to do any of the assigned problems to get an A. I only studied the day of the midterms and the final and pulled off an A. Just do the practice exams and u'll be fine. The material does get harder as the class goes on, but it's still easy!

This class is ridiculously easy. I never went to lectures, quickly went through the practice tests, and came out with an A. You don't need to go to class or do any work besides the practice test to get an A. I even missed a discussion or two. Take this class even if its not required; nice 5 unit GPA booster.

Holmes made this class really manageable. I zoned out every lecture and always waited to learn/study everything the night before the midterms and the final and still got an A.

prof holmes' is awesome. her exams are pretty easy as long as you go to class, take notes, and do her practice exams. she has a european accent; kinda cute, and she throws in a couple jokes here and there. i would take another class with her!

extremely boring class. she's pretty funny though. Easy at first but gets harder.

nice teacher, makes stats as amusing as it can be (not very). lectures are boring and useless unless you're still confused about your multiplication tables and basic algebra.

Easy class and the lecture is pretty much optional if you do the worksheets.

she is totally cool. just print out the worksheets, and you'll pass the tests. we didn't have a midterm or a final. only a test every 2 weeks. very easy class.

you have to be an idiot not to get an A. Some of the tests were exactly like the worksheets. the class was really boring, just go to section.

i loved this class! i haven't taken math in 2 years. i hate math, but professor holmes makes it easy to tolerate. she makes her own tests and makes them so the class will pass. take her class if you have the chance! there is no mandatory homework! big plus.
