From the moment he walked in, I was in love. He is very charismatic and you can see his passion for the subject. He is very intelligent, has a wonderful sense of humor. And he is very attractive. I take classes with him all year because I am deeply and madly in love with him.
Maybe I just had a bad experience but this was the worst class I have ever taken. I am a philosophy major and I hate this class. It was so ridiculously boring I couldn't believe it. We talked for a month about what it meant for an object to be red. Seriously, who the **** cares. Not to mention it was hard as hell. The curve made a B- a 60%.
Falvey rocks, he's super enthusiastic about the material and really easy to talk to outside of class. Metaphysics isn't a subject you can just hang out in and expect to know what the hell is going on, especially if you aren't interested.
He knows what he's talking about. He does a good job of clarifying the abstract subject of philospohy. The T.A.'s do all the grading and mine was a total dumb-"donkey".
Dr. Falvey is so intelligent, and I think extremely sexy in his own way.
Easy grader, great at clarifying. Copious notes are important in his class, but you can get away with careful reading as well.
It is a great class. Falvey is a very good instructor.
I like prof. Falvey. It is very easy to follow his lectures, and he is a comparatively easy grader.
Falvey's hot in an off-beat way. Everyone thinks he's boring, but he made me just LOVE metaphysics in my junior year.
Difficult teacher, but I actually learned something eventhough I didn't think I was learning anything during the class. I took him for a few things, but all I really remember was the Philosophy of Language. He related everything to calculus, which didn't

he talks like he knows his**** and knows we arent worth his time. classic--longish hair, chalk on a suit that doesnt match, such a hot philosopher. granted, im a phil major, but he was a great lecturer, if you are attentive. he goes into extra detail, but still good. def go to section though.
...and he is tenured
i realized during the review session that there is absolutely no need to go to class, just go to discussion.there's a review session before the final that covers all Falvey's study questions, which is basically the final.no midterm, just 2 papers. lectures=waste of time, but you can still do well.
You can't ever tell where he is looking or if he is making eye contact with you. His actual lectures follow the overhead notes very loosely. It's hard to pay attention in this class because you're busy copying down the outline while he is rambling about something else.
Class is a little boring, but if you really try to pay attention, his tangents are very interesting, and you can follow the main points of the lecture with the overhead notes. He seems like a smart, interesting guy, and hes' really passionate about his subject matter. Make sure you get a good TA.
I slept through nearly every lecture. Very boring. Get a good T.A. if you plan on passing the final, which is comprehensive.
He was boring! I brought a book every day to pass the time. All he does is ramble and pace around. The assignments are annoying and they grade really hard. Avoid this class, if you can!
this guy breaks into tangents, gets really boring and is weird. his lectures were hard to understand. he's a pretty off the wall kinda guy, and i bet he's pretty cool. he dresses nice, but his lectures bored me and he was kinda hard to follow.
Falvey is a little boring, although his jokes can be pretty entertaining.
This guy is a moron who speaks as though he is an enlightened sould and thinks he is smarter than he really is. I am stupider for having taken his class.
pretty boring. funny on rare occasions, but mostly one to stay away from
Knows a lot about the topic, but gets wrapped up in tangents, and is boring.
