do NOT take any class from this man if you can possibly avoid it - unclear, sarcastic, boring, and UNFAIR. almost 50% of your grade is based on luck, and he is the worst person i have EVER heard try to explaing anything. DON'T TAKE IT!!!

what a baaaad class. lecture with him = naptime. damn clicker - always get questions wrong. and 10% of grade depends on your profits during experiments! what the heck! I got B- on all 3 quizzes..but i bombed the final - ended up with D as final grade! i heard a lot ppl get c or below...i've to take it AGAIN with crouch next quarter!!! DAMN!

So this man is defintely not a good lecturer at all. He thinks its high school or something where there is only 30 people in the class and you can call people out for leaving early. yeah you can't do that with 600 hundred people. I didt think the class was hard. the book was very good. experiments were fun, pointless but fun. gotta a B deserved A.

This was definitely the WORST class/professor of my life. The material he covers in lectures is absolutely nothing close to what you'll see on his tests. I ended up with a D in the class, and there's no way I deserved it. I honestly don't know why he's still teaching, and have lost all interest in considering econ as a major. He needs to stop!!

Your section is just an experiement for his bogus research and your TA is the conductor... so do not plan on recieving help from a TA. His tests are nothing like the material you will learn in class or in experiment. I pay to go to this school to learn, not to help some guy with an experiment in exchange for getting a C mixed into my GPA!

Oh my god the worst teacher ever. If you want to teach yourself the basics of economics, then I guess you might like him. Tests are confusing and screw you over. HE SUCKS!!!!

IMPOSSIBLE!!! STAY AWAY, i cant warn you enough this guys tests make noooo sense and will just make you walk away saying wtf, nothing like any CLAS practice tests, pretty much impossible and his curve blows, everyone gets C's very hard to do better

His explanations suck. His lectures suck. If it weren't for the clickers, I wouldn't even bother going to lecture. Experiments make section go by really fast. He makes strange noises when he is lecturing and he says stupid things. He probably knows economics, he's just not a good teacher.

This man is amazing.

By far the worst professor in the history of teaching. I wouldn't want my elementary school kids being taught by him, so why is he teaching in college? We're learning about prohibition, gambling, prostitution, in an econ class? HE'S A ****ER!

His lecturing sucked and he is impossible to take seriuosly. Messes up, stumbles over words, has goofy mannerisms, puts you to sleep, is ridiculously slow, and too frusterating to approach.

He does not teach much in class at all. He has class participation, which is fun, but has nothing to do with his tests. You end up having no clue about what is going on.

Funny old guy. See him outside of class if you need help. Just don't complain to him in class or he will diss you hard. He told one student that UCSB had resources for learning disablities if that was why he didn't do the HW.

This Prof. is great fun. People **** about him being senile, but he is not. He is just a huge funny nerd, and it is nice to have him in the place of other jerk econ professors.

Haha. He did this class with another professor and the other professor was a better teacher in the class, but I liked the design. It was fun when we did experiments in class. He's not the best teacher in a large class, but give him a chance one on one.
